Hi Puys,
Can anyone provide some model test papers relevant for the exam.
Also could you all suggest,what approach could be helpful for preparation in these days as the exam is pretty near.
P.S. I know I have to decide what approach suits me most,but a little suggestion from peers is always welcome and helpful.

To all those who have filled RBI grade B officer form ... i wanna inform that i have received the admit card for RBI via Post at my home.... So jus start keep lookin for it as it may arrive at ur homes any day ... also i have a query ... this Descriptive test that they have mentioned in Phase 2 .. the 3 descriptive papers... the exam will be conducted at Mumbai only ?? or at other centers like ahmedabad and other cities where objective test is also being carried out ?

hey what is the timing of the exam...and any other info mentioned in the admit card........and i think phase II exam will not only be conducted in Mumbai only but also in other metro cities....lets c........:)

Timing of paper written in admit card is morning 9 30 to 12 30 but we have to be seated at our seats 15 mins before the exam begins .. so we have to reach at 9

1. Puys, there is one confusion still remaining regarding the time limits for the sections. Is it enforced strictly? People have different responses to this - if you are lucky enough, you can get a lenient invigilator who can let you switch sections.
2. The total time on admit card is 130 min? What about 180 min 
3. Though not very likely but still anything mentioning about weights and cutoffs?

Its 15 minutes thing and you get out. Thats it. You cant sit and SOLVE GA questions

Admit card ke saath main information handout bhi hai .. usme diya hua hai clearly ... i also thought for 20 mins ki 50 mins kaha gayab ho gayi .. will post a pic of it soon ...

its not given yaar ... i think its all for the formalities and all .. no idea abt wats gona happen that day .... its highly unclear

no yaar i dnt think so it will be for formailty n all becz they have mentioned dat phase 1 is of 3 hours....so dey cant use 3 hours for something else....

last tym also they had given the 3 hours for phase I but actual was 2 hours 15 minutes.....so this tym also RBI changed the timing to 130 minutes....now whatever it is we hav to encounter it and prepare accordingly ....ALL THE BEST

You can read this as instruction - *Each Test has separate fixed time for solving it.
So the time is fixed. We cant argue anymore over this.
kjrocks, can you put the camera in macro mode? its going to be much clearer then.

Standard of Exam
It is an entrance exam and is open for candidates from all the streams (Humanities, Arts, finance, commerce, science, engineering....) . In order to not give any added advantage to a particular stream, question in phase-II are designed in such that ANYONE who is aware of surroundings can answer that.
Six months is more than enough time to clear this exam. For an average student (If he/she is appearing for first time) 15-45 days dedicated preparation should be more than enough for Phase-I , and another 30-60 days for phase -II . Remember, the key phrase is 'dedicated'.
Although I ll write about the books for both phases , I implore that UNLESS FIRST PHASE IS OVER , DON'T GO FOR PHASE-II PREPARATION, BECAUSE IF YOU PERFORM POOR IN PHASE-I , YOU WILL NOT GET A CHANCE TO APPEAR FOR PHASE-II.
The above situation may seem unlikely, however i have seen this happening many times.

I find this idea of reading newspaper for GA in Ph-I , foolish, to say the least. Exams are not only about cramming , they are also about common sense. And this act defies all common sense.
Normally, paper setter prepare question paper 30-90 days in advance , in any exam. After that they go for printing , then for distribution to various centres. Which means that whatever you read in last month in news paper may not be in exam-paper.
Second, for objective tests, you need to know only the bullet points. Again reading entire paper will be waste of time for that.
The best way to prepare for GA in objective tests, is to grab last 6-12 months issue of Good Economic / GA / competition mags and study them. That is a more focussed approach.
Reading newspaper will help you only in English section of Ph-I.
