one can apply only to the state or Zone from where you did ur gradn. As far as profile is considered it will be more or less a pure data entry related job like entry of inward and outward of mail or entry of data into system .
The inhand will be ard 20k but u have a lot of perks like House and other allowances and hospitalization exp for self and dep. The working hours are quite limited 9.15-5.15. No one says a class 3 ie Assts to stay post office hrs as over time is payable. weekends are off.
There is an exam for Asst mgr after 3 yrs of service usually called merit channel but in that case u shld be ready for transfers. No transfers for Class 3 staff till asst MgrJob is great if you want to remain in ur home state, want to have good quality life , bring up children and get a decent salary or want to prepare for any competition or for a female who wants to get a husband on the basis of a job . Dont expect any bribe , the only advg will be u will get fresh currency notes
Promotion :
The seq is Asst--Special asst-Senior asst (I may be wrong in chronology of 2 & 3. Post that u have to clear the exam for asst manager which has sub like rbi act, english etc . Without clrg the exam u wont go in officers cadre
Bank PO will give better growth but this will give a peaceful life . Great option for guys who want a pure secured job and devout their life for the upcoming generation or want a financial security while they try for completion like civils as unlike officer cadre , the assts wont be expected to handle multiple responsibilities
Transfer :
For Assistant post there is no transfer.For officer first porting will be out of home state and then transfer after every 5 years.

Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ` 8,860/- per month (i.e. ` 8,040/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates only) in the scale of ` 8,040 – 410 – 9270 – 500 – 11,270 – 550 – 13,470 – 650 – 15,420 – 720 – 16,140 – 990 – 20,100 (20 years)
Kya 20 yr means ths ...
8,040 basic se start toh 2.9 lakh apprx startng salary thy r sayng
20,100 aftr 20 yrsssssss ............ is it means 7.25 lakh aftrr 20 yrs ...
Is it mean ths ?
AS 20,100 / 8040 = 2.5 so total salary aftr 20 yrs 2.5 times = 2.5 *2.9 lakh = 7.25 lakh
Pay is lessssss yaar

SSC-CGL tier-2 is on 21st july....!!!As per RBI-Asst notification the probability of both the exams being scheduled on the same day is 1/4 !!!! Is there any way we can schedule RBI-Asst exam to a date of our choice from the 4 test taking days ??? 😛
