i dont have particular info about RBI but generally in many companies, if your hometown is the place of posting then you are not given housing or allowance.

i know we are all very excited that is why the eagerness, but result was declared on thursday night. they need to print the letters, post them, and they post via speed post! post department would not be working sunday and maybe even saturday! So we can expect it by end of this week. so we should remain calm and not loose our heads over this.
i am also selected and waiting eagerly for offer letter but posting again and again over here is not going to speed up the process. wish rbi had a twitter account like SSC chief.

RBI assistant is prefarable to any bank po because...1. less work pressure 2. central govt job so much facility...3. no case of transfer, and if after promotion that will be in a very good city, boz all rbi are in central city...3. very good salary and allowances....4. no public dealings...5. saturday sunday off 6. aaram sukh chayan........paisa sabkuch nehi hai life mai....7. come on its Rbi..banker of the bank...respected reputed org...be proud to be a part of it.......:)
