Because I have appeared from Kolkata...Please don't make this thread long by irrelevant posts ..Kindly ask Mumbai guys about the same. You can always edit your post and ask as many questions by quoting as many people in one post. Because there are interview experiences of people which will go back and people will have difficulty finding one. So please, Sir, a request. Consider it.
I am from kokata and i had my interview on the 30th of august. There were very few rejections in my batch. but if the ratio has come down to 1:2 then its good
@lowdown But the rejection is low in General category I feel, as on my day on 28th, there were no rejections but outta 43 about 30-32 were present.
on my day .. out of 40 , 8 were present,( 1 rejected+ 2 ex servicemen). therefore 5 general out of 40

Absent- 2 or 3
can not say anything about the region issue but zones should not be the basis for any recruitment because Indian citizens are allowed to go and work anywhere in the country. This was the basis for complaint by a guy from Rajasthan who had applied for Mumbai zone.The court directed RBI to take the petitioner's interview.

Here is my interview experience:-
On 4th i attended interview in Chandigarh and there was 2 Women and one Male. they started from my graduation as i did hotel management so they asked why banking after hotel management and why RBI ? some question they asked were-
1)Who are business correspondence?
2)what are no frill accounts?
3)developmental and supervisory role of RBI?
4)no of villages in India and how many of them have banks?
5) What we do if we want to send a big file through email?
6) Policy rates.
7)rupee rate against dollar.
8)about graduation subject ...
that's all they asked me ..my interview was good but can't say very good because i was not able to answer 2-3 question but still hope for best..finger crossed..

Have been hearing quite a lot about various mock interviews at various centres being conducted by the employees for the benefit of the candidate ,was any such interview conducted in Chennai ?
