Hi guys, My int on 21 Aug in Mumbai. Any one on same day?
I am a PO in a bank. Can any 1 guide me if it is better to join as clerk in RBI? if u reply convisingly i may not appear in ther int. I came to know that clk is very poor post in RBI and one sud never join RBI as clk. share ur opinion.
I met some guys who already appeared interview. The panel asked dem following question ( hope it help us all) 1. what GOVT. sud do for preventing exodus of NE people from different cities of Ind 2. Why u wanna join RBI? 3. what u know abt Assistant post in RBI. 4. Bank rate, slr, CRR? 5. Who are the EDs in RBI? 6. Hw many offices do RBI have? 7. Why u wanna join RBI after doing MBA/ MCA etc. 8. y we sud take u? 9. What is the Marketing? 10. What is booster in IT ? 11. How ur MCA wd help RBI? 12. What is the difference between banker's cheque and draft? And........... Many more question depending upon the bkgrnd of the candidate... Any thing further ... we can share....... Hope u r benefited..
I also spoke to few RBI guys. Most of them suggested it us useless to appear in int/ join RBI as asssistant . I am confused.... need ur suggestions....... pl help guys.....

U r working in which bank right now and since how much time...
It would b better if u try for Grade B post.. It is my suggestion...
@[609876:Swatitembe]See Man/Woman, you seriously need not to go for the interview. It's like downgrading yourself. It will take 8-10 years to reach to Grade B level. But in the Bank, in 10 years you will be atleast at MMG-3 level. So don't be confused and let the unemployed people get the job. Because your confusion will only cost someone his job, nothing else.

abhiy2k & rajnishkumardub are right. Already you are working in officer scale and this is far better than working as assistant in RBI. You should not downgrade yourself. If you are looking for job in RBI, then you should focus on preparing for RBI Grade B officer.

I have a doubt...
Once you join as Assistant in RBI- can you appear for GRADE-B RBI exam directly when it is conducted? Or do you need to wait till say 10 years and only then can you become grade b? One can attend the exam right?
@[597680:matmw] U can give any exam directly from outside whenever d organisation publishes its advt. but for internal promotions u hv 2 wait for d said years.. r u clear with dis stuff or still have some doubts...
@abhiy2k ... That is- promotion is possible only through internal exams- as and when they are conducted...
But Grade B- you can become, even when you are working as assistant in RBI, by appearing in the common exam... That is, you can work as Assistant and appear for Grade B exam- right?
@[597680:matmw] bullseye...u got it right dude... U can give Grade B while working as an Assistant.. It s same like u r working in a Public sector bank in clerical cadre n giving IBPS Po xam from outside so dat u can become PO soon...
