Yes (but he should also satisfy the criteria for eligible persons who can sign surety)

In Mumbai, they didn't even check the original docs., after we reached the center we were made to fill one more form (about 10 pages), and the bank doctor did a quick check-up.
Those who had forgot docs./surety/medical were told to submit them ASAP.RBI will now send letters to the referee's(we filled there name & add. in one of the forms which we sent at the time of interview) and to the current/ex employer, once the referee & employer acknowledge the letters then they will send appointment letters. They said that they will not send letters to refr. & empl. till we don't submit all the required docs. so better submit them ASAP.
Approx. date of joining will be December 2nd week.
guys i had absconded from a company a year back and i didnt mention the experience in rbi bio data..will they able to find out the truth?
employer of surety has nt mentioned anything abt indebtedness..is it ok?

We filled it in the Acknowledgement form, which we submitted before interviews.

exactly, simply no sense in this surety thing. im having serious doubts as to what is going on inside rbi.. i think this has to be brought to the notice of higher rbi authorities somehow. im sure they will also realise that this is an absurd requirement. looks like some remnant from the past that is unnoticed by the biggies at the HR department, who probably dont bother to look into the recruitment of 'assistants' (clerks).

and i gave a different reson to my employer for resigning. ill be in a soup when, when they find i left them for this!!

what sort of acknowledgment they need from the current employer and the referee, i have worked in two org. till now including current one. so will they contact both of them?

also one more thing about my Character certificate that i got from my college, it clearly states as a character certificate but it doesn't mention the "3 years" thing and its in college format not the one from RBI. will that serve the purpose?
