@mou4 I don't think every department in RBI works 5 days a week...like Payment & Settlement Department which handles the cheque clearing process works on saturday too...Need clarification on these

On Saturdays, the departments which render critical support services to banks and Government, including the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems (DPSS), Public Accounts Department (PAD), Deposit Accounts Department (DAD), remains open

hi frnd i m selected in vananchal gramin bank P.O.( spons. by State Bank of India) and RBI Assistant.
I m confused which to join .please hlep me which is better option.

@nitin20may if you want to stay close to your hometown then vananchal gramin bank is the only option. also did you get clear or PO?

@nitin20may Rbi assistant is a better option. Grameen banks are vulnerable to getting merged with the sponser banks, and the hardest hit here are the employees of the grameen bank.

@mou4 ya, jus 5 working days.... i attended interview Chennai on sat. only people who r incharge for d interview came. d whole office was empty.

yaar wo to purana notification hai.. ye naye wala dekho.. isme mentioned nahi hai .. BTW, I'll call HR and ask them myself. It's better that way..

I am selected for Chandigarh office. :)
