u have to clear the ssb xamination.. first of all.. then u have to work in some government service(IAS, PCS, DSP,SSP,ARMY, DEFENCE.. etc etc) with loyalty n truthfulness towards the nation..
after months of secret inspection done by RAW of u n all your relatives u ll be selected if upto the standards..
RAW is not chosen by anyone.. RAW chooses u if u r worthy enough.. u r contacted directly one day n will be asked if u want to serve the nation.. 2 branches as all know.. 1. technical (more of the planning part).. 2. field work(implementation of the plans)..

No direct recruitment for RAW is done. RAW is part of cabinet secretariat and officers are 'picked-up' from IPS and Army.You can try to seek more info from RAW HQ at Lodhi Road, New Delhi
