quitting job for gmat, Is it the right thing to do?

I am trying to quit my job and prepare full time for gmat,this is my first attempt, I am in sales, so wouldn’t be able to get sabbatical or long leave, I’ve read in other forums that it isn’t the right thing to do,Need help, please suggest.thank you
