Ques) Sambhu beats Kalu by 30m or 10s. How much time was taken by Sambhu to complete a race 1200m?
a. 6.30min
b. 3.15 min
c. 12.10min
d. 2.5min ??

In this Question I applied the logic that, let two be racing with each other. So when Kalu starts he already covered 30m.. So uniformly his speed is 3m/s ahead of kalu. so to cover 1200m, it would require 1200/(3 * 60) minutes...
Is this concept correct??

Here shambhu's speed will 30/10 = 3 m/s.
So shambhu will take 1200/3 = 400sec to cover the distance

logic seems alright to me..........

plz help me wid this ques from arun sharma geometry LOD2 Q22

PP' and QQ' are two direct common tangents to two circles intersecting at points A and B. the common chord on produced intersects PP' in R and QQ' in S. which of the followong is true?

1) RA^2 + BS^2 = AB^2
2) RS^2 = PP'^2 + AB^2
3) RS^2 = PP'^2 + QQ'^2
4) RS^2 = BS^2 + PP'^2

Acc to the problem when sambhu completes 1200m then kalu covers 1170m. so to complete 30m he takes 10s. so to cover 1200m he takes 400s. that means sambhu take 390s (he beats kalu by 10s,that is, he finishes 10s early). so answer should be 6 mins 30 secs.
:)

thanks buddy.
The answer is a. 6min 3333333333333333333333 seconds. 😛

answer guyz

Let there be x kg of Type A and y kg of Type B
So, for type A, the milk consumed = 2x L and water consumed = x L.
For type B, the milk consumed = 3y L and water consumed = 2y L.
Total Milk consumed = 2x + 3y = 130
Total Water consumed = x + 2y = 80

Solve the 2 eqns. to get x = 20 kg and y = 30 kg.

Hope that helped.

(68^99)-(58^99)=(68-58 )(68^98+68^97*58+68^96*58^2+_____+58^98 )=10*(68^98+68^97*58+68^96*58^2+_____+58^98 )
Which when divided by {+} will leave a dividend of 10*(1+k)
=> x>2 i.e. Option 4)
