Q.) Find the remainder when 73 x 75 x 78 x 57 x 197 x 37 is divided by 34 ?

i got answer as 22. is this correct ?

Is the ans given as 32???

yes. u got 32 ? how ?

Q.) Find the remainder when 73 x 75 x 78 x 57 x 197 x 37 is divided by 34 ?

i got answer as 22. is this correct ?

See 78 and 34 have factor 2 common.So cancel them out(we will multiply this 2 by the result at the end).Now the problem becomes (73 X 75 X 34 X 57 X 197 X 37)/17...
Now individually divide 73,75,34,57,197 and 37 by 17 and get the remainders.Whatever remainder you get, multiply them again and find the remainder.Follow the same procedure till you fill the last remainder(which will be only one number)..In this case,it will be 16.But as at the beginning,we had cancelled 2,we need to multiply 2 with the remainder we just found out.So the answer is 16 X 2=32 :cheerio:

sorry a slight correction :

there are two ques given in AS:

1.) find the remainder when 73 x 75 x 78 x 57 x 197 is divided by 34 ?

For this, i got 22 as answer, while given in AS is 32.

2.) find the remainder when 73 x 75 x 78 x 57 x 197 x 37 is divided by 34 ?

for this the answer given is 28, though 32 is also an option.

@Eulers Number:

What if i want to calculate the remainder when 25^54 is divided by 7 ?

@Eulers Number:

What if i want to calculate the remainder when 25^54 is divided by 7 ?

Euler's no will be 6.So 25^6/7=1
Now proceed

so, every time the power is a perfect multiple of eulers no,,,,the remainder wud be 1 ??

but the remainder in this case is 4 i think ...

but the remainder in this case is 4 i think ...

(25)^6/7 = (4)^6/7 = (16)^3/7 = (2)^3/7 = 8/7= 1(remainder)

Hence, (25)^56/7 = {(25)^6*9}/7 = 1(remainder)...is it clear now dude???

Two men start walking on a road which diverges by 120 degrees.
Find the distance between them after 4 hours , if they walk at speeds of 3km/hr and 2 km/hr respectively.

One man travels 8kms and other 12 kms. It will form a triangle with angle 120 and adjacent sides as 8 and 12.Now you can use cosine rule.Let 8kms=b,12=c and A=120.....Then,
Cos A=(b^2+ c^2-a^2)/2bc to find a(distance between them)

plz reply with solution

Answer: 4 kg
Explanation:
For 4.40 to be gain of 10%, cost price should be 4.

Now, we have 8 kg of Rs. 4.2 type of sugar
So, we have 0.2*8 = 1.6 extra.
Bring it down by 0.4*4.
So, 4 kgs of Rs. 3.6 type of sugar.

answer should be 4

the cost price shud be 4..
now..
just use the alligation dig. technique

through it we will find that expensive sugar should be twice in quantity that of the cheaper one....so cheaper one should be 4
Hi guys,

Help me on this........

If 10 people can clean 10 floors by 10 mops in 10 days. In how many days can 8 people clean 8 floors by 8 mops?

I am getting the answer as 8........but it is given as 10...;)

cheers.....!

let us consider every person has 1 mop..
then, 10ppl can clean 10 floors in 10 days
1 person can clean 10 floors in 10*10 = 100 days
8 ppl can clean 10 floors in 100/8 days
8 ppl can clean 1 floor in 100/(8*10) days = 10/8 days
8 ppl can clean 8 floors in 10/8 * 8 days = 10 days

Q.93 of LOD-II, number systems:

How many integer values of x and y are there, such that 4x+7y=3, while x

a) 144
b) 141
c) 143
d) 142

Q.93 of LOD-II, number systems:

How many integer values of x and y are there, such that 4x+7y=3, while x

a) 144
b) 141
c) 143
d) 142

for the equation 4x+7y=3 either x is negative or y is negative..

negative values of x can vary from -1, -8, ..., -498 with a common difference of -7
total number of integral values of x = (498-1)/7 + 1 = 72

when y is negative... x is positive.. positive values of x satisfying the equation can b 6, 13, .... 496 with a common difference of 7
total number of positive intergral values of x = (496+1)/7 = 71

for each integral value of x there exists an integral value of y .. thus total number of integer values = 71+72= 143
