This is a thread for all the Purdue Krannert 2009 Aspirants.

We can share our profiles, goals and help each other make it to this B school....

My profile:

Im an IT guy. Have around 3 years of work ex. Was in the financial domain most of the time. I wanted to get to the operations / SCM domain. Now atlast i am in the domain that ive wanted to get into. Ive been in this domain for 7 months now.

Gmat --> 710 (V 39, M 48 ) / AWA --> 4.5
10 --> 75 %
12 --> 80 %
Engg (electronics and commn) --> 84 %
Toefl - Yet to take

Extracurricular --> I play the guitar, Finished the A2 level in french and taken the Delf A2 exam.

NGO Stuff --> Decent

Wat about you guys ???

I am there but I am hardly a competetion...

got a 660 in GMAT (M 47, V35), Although IT undergrad but never worked with an IT company!!!
I have a 3 year exp in Business Process,Six sigma,Project management etc.
I am also looking for 1 year course in Ops

I am also planning to apply to Krannert.

GMAT: 710 / AWA-5.5
B.E - 79% (From Top Engg. College in India)
12th : 88.8%
10th : 89.4%

Work Ex : 25 months as of now (3 years by Fall 09) in IT (Telecom Software).

Any suggestions/comments?

I am Vishant. Applying to purdue for fall, 09. My profile:

GMAT: 750 [ V40 M51, AWA 5.0]
TOEFL: 111
Work Ex: 4 Years [by fall 09] in IT
Acades: decent [ State Board Merit ranks in 10th, 12th and B.Tech.-->Merit Scholarships in all years]
Extra carricular: decent enough

Almost done with my application & about to submit in a day or two. Little worried on my LORs part. I am taking one from my college professor & one from my previous project lead. I tried one from my supervisor but can't really get it [ not to mention that asking that to him back fired on me ]..:icon_frown:. can any body tell how much it will affect my chances? thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I am almost done with the application process.
I have a query regarding the transcripts procedure.

We do not have a CGPA system in our university and I was not able to get the transcripts request form (available as part application system) signed by my registrar.


Is that form mandatory????
I have transcripts signed and sealed with signatures done properly.

I stay at a place far from my univ and may have tough time in getting the form signed now.

hello.. has everybody applied wit TOEFL score..
is it mandatory at krannert.. i applied without it and they have asked me to submit the score for evaluation ...

can anyone help ?

I did send the Toefl score... I guess it would be required.... when did they ask you to submit?

I have applied for the Krannert 09 application. I submitted within the Round 1 deadline. But havent heard from them yet. My profile is:
Work ex- 30 months in the manufacturing sector. Projects department. Work ranging from project initiation to monitoring of projects till commissioning.
Acads: Btech mechanical engg from NIT rourkela. CG 7.11/10.00
12th- 83%
10th- 84%
GMAT- 690 (v-36, q-48, AWA- 5.5)
TOEFL- 110
Community service- decent.
Has ne1 hrd from the school. Please reply.

Having 48 months( 60 months when i join) of IT experience. But not involved with coding at all. Mostly a consulting kind of job with onsite stints in Nigeria( 1.5 years) and Dubai(5 months). Aiming for specialization in Strategy and Leadership.

Interviews r rare from Purdue. Mostly persons with
Waiting for a response from them.

Profile- 680 GMAT/115 TOEFL/5 yrs IT/Good acads

Checked with adcom on app status and got this reply:
"The Krannert School of Management is once again fortunate to have received a large number of applications. As a result, we are diligently working to prepare the files for admission review. At this time, we are unable to provide individual status updates for each applicant. Rest assured that we will contact you via email if your application is incomplete. Otherwise, you may assume that it is complete and being prepared for committee review."

I got an admit mail from them yesterday....:new_scatter:. No info on GA or scholarship. I guess purdue sends this in a separate letter later....any info from any one?

Did you have an interview or is it a direct admit?

We now know that Krannert is processing the applications at least :)
