Please bear with me if i've made a mistake in starting this thread as am a new user. I'm in my 4th year of Mech engineering. I struggled with asthma during my 2nd year and this affected my academic performance. I have a history of 10 arrears. How big a problem is this going to be?

As long as you clear your arrears it shouldn't be a problem. At the PI stage, they might ask you for the reason as to having the arrears, if you are able to explain satisfactorily there won't be a problem. It will help if your marks are good.
