I believe rather than GDPI preparation, it should only be PI preparation.

Reason being GD and WAT is not stream dependent and we already have couple of threads facilitating the same. 😃

However, for PIs, it is good to know some stream specific questions and the required perspective to crack the same.

few things that i would like to see:


1. engineering subjects that we CS/IT grads preparing.
2. Why MBA after IT(How tough it will be to shift your career from it if someones ones to shift and how are you planning to convince the panelists)
3. options in it after coming out(profiles placements and all)
4.pi experiences sharing (prev exp if anyone has)

I think we should start with algorithms.I have heard from my CS/IT friends they ask few quesions on algorithms,thier best/worst case scenarios and all that..

in my opinion, algorithm, OS, DBMS are the most important subjects in IT(not respect to PI). but in PI they can ask from any where. some IT ppl got questions from thermodynamics also, so its really tough to fully prepare in IT subjects. its better to learn how to handle them during PI. also IT ppl will be asked questions from their office job, mostly we seal in oracle/java/SAP n so many things. we need to have an over all idea and fantastic presentation in PI.

Questions could be
1) What is project management ? Define the project life cycle and various intermediate steps

2) Why is project management important ? Why does an organization needs to have project management practices ?

3) Give examples of how you are managing a project? What do you do let say planning , budgeting , staff management , communication management , stakeholder management?

Bhai HCL Technologies. 2011 passout hu. thoda ladai karna padta hai iss role ke liye. :p
