I am 29 yrs old male and planned to apply for Ph. D in USA in the field of Management,

Business Administration.

i have completed B.Tech in Chemical Engg with Distinction Masters in Polymer Science in Europe and have 2 yrs experience in R&D.; I am currently unemployed and wanted to PhD in usa. I dont want to work in Technical field.

My doubts or fears are

Will US universities accept my application for phd in Management? I have this doubt because i have not done anything related to business administration, management. I have only six-month experience in market research. thats all

is it worth a try? i need to invest time, energy money before i apply(as u already know, toefl, gmat, coaching for gmat, aappln fee, ,,,) i dont know whether this is sense or absolutely senseless to try phd in management with masters in polymer science. what is the success or probably rate to get in or to get admission with funding?

I am thinking if I apply with all documents and if they reject my application, then it is complete waste of everything. That is why I wanted to know probability to get in with funding, before I prepare and spend money for all those stuffs mentioned above. i heard a friend saying it is extremely rare to get in with funding for management program? should i drop my idea....?

and finally how long does it take to prepare for GMAT to get good score?

I wish to pursue masters in Supply Chain/operation from top institutes.Am confdent or attaining score of 700-720.I wish to make a career and start working in US in SCM domain using my current experiance. Suitably advise if further studies wold help .

I have completed my MBA in HR from XLRI, Jamshedpur and wish to pursue PhD from USA in the field of Organization Behavior.
I wish to know the procedure to move ahead in this direction which means I would like to know:
1. How and where to contact the colleges?
2. Which are good colleges for PhD in OB?
3. What would be my chances to get into one?
4. Do I need to connect with the Professors directly?
5. I dont have any publications under my belt. How unfavorable is it?

Would appreciate some inputs on this.

I am doing my Executive MBA from FMS, Delhi. I have around 17 years of work experience in Govt. I am looking for doing my Phd in Management from an international university which offers some kind of contact program or an online Phd program.


Since I am in service, hence can't leave the job and be a full time student.
Can somebody suggest the way forward.

Previous Organization: IBM Global Business Services, Bangalore; worked as a Test Specialist for 2.5yrs

I want to pursue PhD in Marketing from one of the top universities in US. Also, I would want to choose an university which will give me scholarship. I am yet to get a GMAT/GRE score. Please guide me on when to take GMAT/GRE/ any other exam, which universities to apply, how to strengthen my candidature etc. so that I can build a roadmap to make my aspirations come true! Can some one let me know list of Business schools that intake during the spring 2015?? I heard that many schools do not offer during that period. Please let me know.

Also i would like to know how different is MBA in finance\banking management to masters in finance\banking(Msc) in terms of package offered after the course, course duration, investment in the course.
