Just contacted IIMK. In finance and accounting area all 4 members who got selected confirmed their offers, so little chance for waitlisted candidates in this area. Not sure about other areas.

anyone going to IIM Ranchi EFPM interview?
There seems to be a lot of opaqueness with which IIMK conducted its FPM admission process this year. An admission policy link was uploaded in their website prior to interviews. The policy clearly mentioned that in the general category those who score 60% and above will be admitted to the courses. If that is the case how come a WL? There should only be merit list. The admission policy link is now not seen in their website(have they taken it off?!!). When I contacted their office, I was told that they could not accomodate WL due to accomodation, hostel constraints etc. If that is the case why the policy and moreoever it is mentioned in their FAQ that there are no fixed number of seats. I have filed an RTI to know the scores and selection process in the interview. Moreover, someone in this group I think mentioned about the number of candidates called for the interview. There were about 400 candidates called for the interview(no intermediate selection like RAT etc). These 400 candidates paying about Rs 500 each for accomodation would amount to Rs 2 lakhs at the minimum. So was it a marketing "tantra" by IIMK to garner some additional revenue(conducting RAT would mean additional costs)? I am not sure about other IIM's but I think everyone has the right to know what has gone behind the scenes. Hope the people take RTI route if they feel some information is missing.
