I am much interested in quantitative finance….is it worth – cost wise, Experience wise to do
PGP in IIM (A,C) or
MS in finance from Germany or Netherlands (2 top univs promised to giv full fees waiver & scholarship if u hav good GRE subject test score )
I also intend to do Phd in Finance preferably from USA if my situation is fine …but not interested in pursuing MS finance or MFE in the US due to cost concerns and German courses hav right blend of financial math & Economics syllabus wise.
Background: Age : 26 yrs , Instrumentation Engineer 2007 passed out ( 75 % ) , GATE (maths ) : AIR 11, GMAT: 740 , GRE –SUBJECT TEST in maths : 97 percentile -880….work exp in Aerospace Industry in Middle east…last drawn salary was 15 laks /annum …. due to family problem (court case ) resigned in 2011 march… currently not workin … ..cleared CAT 2011- got calls from IIM C, IIM L –did not attend as I cannot join da course in 2012…
Also wat are da chances of landing into IB or Hegde fund, Algo trading Firms wid PGP from IIM provided my age at time of graduation will be 29 yrs .
