Hi Everyone,
I think its necessary for the B-School grads to start focusing on the social sector too apart from the corporate sector. We study hard to make things easier for us and our surroundings. That means after the studies, we are supposed to give back to the society and trust me its not possible after working with the corporate sector. While people may differ from my opinion but nobody would differ from the fact that a 100% commercially driven entity takes a lot of toll and leaves one too tired to focus on anything. I have been advocating the cause of students taking up jobs with several different NGOs. Those who are self employed can always take a couple of days off their work and contribute something. Or can take a month out of their hectic schedules to join programs such as TeachIndia, Teach For India or AwakeInd, etc. Its not too difficult and can easily be managed.
This wasn't to offend anyone who doesn't think like that but is that too much to ask for?
