Please help !!! I converted XLRI delhi. Also, I already took admission in IIFT kolkata. I belong to sc category and my fees in IIFT is around 11 lacs. Though, I am very optimistic about XLRI delhi but due to these uncertainties and rumours, I am confused. Please give your honest opinion as this will be a very big decision!! Thank you
The negative streak in us all (me included) keeps spurring us to criticize anything at the first opportunity...be it an organisation or a lone person. Thus today post my evening ritual in a happy state (generally every day around this time) I have decided to force myself to appreciate the professionalism and efficiency of xlri administration. I withdrew my BM jamshedpur admission around mid day 20 jul.... same evening received a mail from AO at 2120 hours intimating me my request has been accepted and refund initiated.....today 24 jul amount has been credited in my bank account. Ibid procedure took 26 day for me while dealing with iim K. XLRI salute yr efficiency.
how to convert grad cgpa to percentage?
Is there anyone or his/her known one, still waiting for convert from other clg? And planning to withdraw from bm course from xl jsr if converted. Any subtle info will be helpful thank you.
Some "wonderful" updates about XLRI Delhi admissions from the past few days that all 'aspirants' need to know -
1) The waitlist went beyond 1000, then the admin changed it on the website and made it 900, I’m assuming for “image” purposes. Now, the WL number on website is no longer reliable. Imagine that, a college like XL faking waitlist movement! Remember the admin promised they would not go below a certain cutoff even if seats don’t fill up? Lies, he simply meant he’ll lie and fudge the data! How simple it is.
2) The admin once again opened up admissions for students in the lower waitlists like 200-300. People who rejected XL Delhi once already were offered to take up admission again! This is just sad and a little shameful.
3) The admin is calling up students who cleared XAT last year and asking them to join!!. I was told this by seniors in XL and from some mutual friends and someone who is currently in MBA first year from some other college was told to leave that college and join XL NCR!! This is utterly shocking. A college like XLRI begging students who cleared XAT last year to join.
LOL, I compared XL to IIPM in my previous post, but now looks like it is IT cell of some political party desperate for members! How can the oldest MBA college in the country stoop so low. For the students still eager to join this scam, I ask you, are the rest of the 1000 of us so stupid? I am no one to advice you about which MBA college to go to, but if 1000 of us are rejecting a college, think about why. DO your research, talk to seniors (they aren’t hard to find) and people from other colleges. You cannot gamble 25 lakhs and an MBA degree on false promises and nice looking press releases.
As someone who got an admit from Jhajjar but got out before it was too late, I’m horrified to see what is happening now. The admin is showing sheer desperation to fill up seats. Remember, they are unable to fill 120 seats after a waitlist of 1000. For your reference, this is like getting 91 percentile in CAT and getting invited repeatedly by your top college to take admission!
Speaking of press releases, the admin once again put out a statement in the press with the tagline of Sharada university (The world is here, where are you or some dumb crap like this) and with all the truthfulness of Trump (he promises everything to be the same except the location. What an utter joke, when the admin himself admitted different degrees for Delhi and JSR, not even to mention placements which in no universe will be 100% common) As Trump keeps telling newspapers – FAKE NEWS!
The new "HEIGHTS" XLRI is going to, to fill the Delhi campus seats. Welcome to the New Shardaa guys! And don't worry, the seniors at JSR are waiting to welcome you with open arms 😉
My revelation on what is so amazing about Jhajhaar Campus of XLRI. 1. The Waitlist has a freeee fall. People chose baby IIMs rather than investing 25 Lakhs in a new private college opened recently. 2. Their Clown of a dean who promises everything on earth to the new babies ( URF Jamshedpur Rejects ) to ensure the babies take Admissions in the new campus. 3. Clear rejection from Jamshedpur Seniors as well as batchmates. Only people showing a little sympathy for Jhajhaar is the HR people, who themselves don't feel a connect with BM batch. But once BM and HR batch unite at JSR, Jhajhaar will be treated like an enemy. Nothing less. 4. Promise of common Placements, but Campus mentioned. And Degrees are From the different campus. So the XL Mafia definitely doesn't help Jhajhaar. 5. Lastly, the foolish people joining it and forcing others to join it too. CAT and XAT are round the corner, instead of smoking up your 25 lakhs, take a wise call. Abhi bhi time hai doston !
Without doubt xl is on roads paved by mdi in the past. No response invited....ppl in the run just analyse and take your individual decisions than making a fuss here n at times even being disrespectful to others. Just remember u all are d best minds our nation has. Jai Hind.😇
A few hours ago, I posted FACTS about XL Delhi here. I posted about the events of the past few days, the admin lying about waitlist number, admin reopening admission to WL 200 (who already rejected XL Delhi) and calling people who already are in first year MBA from other colleges to take admission to Jhajjar.
Someone asked the director of XL Delhi about my post on email and the director calls me mentally sick instead of refuting with logic. (see attached image for proof)
Why so defensive? If you have nothing to hide, why dont you deny it with logic? I was a potential student for XL Delhi and it is shocking to see the director of an institute abusing people and potential students who criticize the institute. Thank God I didnt take admission here.
To the trolls on this page, dont deny people their facts. They are paying 25 lakhs and they deserve to know everything, not just the lies and the PR campaign run by desperate admins to fill up seats at XL Delhi. You can be deluded, but dont force your delusion upon others. The admin does too much of that already.
Kon hai ye log XAT mei 90 percentile bhi na la paaye. Na NCR ki call hai aur humse jal rahe hai. Yaha fake ID bana ke apne aap ko senior bol rahe hai.
Koi zindagi mei itna khaali kaise ho sakta hai ki jis college se kuch lena dena nahi fir bhi poora din yaha baith ke gaali do.
Please hum jaise logo ko jeene do, le liya hai admission hamara paisa hai hum jo marzi kare. Aa jao hamari fees dedo fir poora din baith ke sunna lena.
Mummy poora din ghar mei chappal maarti hai inhe ghar pe aur ye yaha aake NCR pe gussa nikaal dete hai.
I haven't seen any BM/HR convert or any legit senior saying bad things about NCR. Ye sab waitlist vaale ya jinhe call nahi hai ya vo log jinhe zindagi mei risk lene se darr lagta hai yaha aake baithe hai mummy ki chappal kha kha ke.
Hey guys,
We have seen a lot of recent posts circulating in the PG post and whtsp groups and we are here to state a few things.
There are certain posts created by fake IDs which propagate hatred for XLRI brand as a college. We vehemently detest it.
XLRI Delhi-NCR has opened from this year with 120 additional seats in the flagship BM program. XLRI Jamshedpur is one of the most reputed B-Schools in Asia and the HR flagship course is known worldwide. The BM Programme at XL is also one of the most coveted programmes at XLRI. The faculty, infrastructure are at par with the top IIMs. The placement reports will also indicate the glorious history and the present scenario of XL and it's only rising.
XL-Delhi NCR is of course new but it has been opened with the intention of making it the truest extension of XL as a brand. Hence, it is XLRI Delhi-NCR and not named after any other colleges falling under the Xavier brand.
We know that there were a lot of uncertainties when choosing a college which will be having its first batch and that applies across any college anywhere. XLRI follows a collective decision making process involving its multiple stakeholders and being a new batch and the current covid scenario, there were a lot of changing dynamics which might have increased the uncertainty.
We would like to highlight you that the director and the XL admissions office has been quite transparent in their communication when many of you have asked about and tried to best clear the uncertainties. At the end of the day, XL- Delhi NCR will still be a part of XLRI. It is upto the aspirants to choose a college or to do an MBA at the end of the day. We would like to urge you to decide by talking with official authorities and the administration for clearing any uncertainties that you have in mind.
We, as Exlink , have always tried to clarify your queries and communicate your concerns to the administration. We will always be open to helping you out. We urge you to not decide based on rumours and posts circulating on the social media but to decide based on sound reasoning.
Cheers,
Team ExLink
Wanted to clear the air on something. People of JSR campus don’t think of the NCR folks as second-class citizens or are against you. This whole confusion has been created squarely by the administration of XLRI. There was to be a campus opened but then Covid happened and everything went to hell .. the prudent thing would be to postpone the opening of the campus and start afresh when there is clarity.
Instead they go ahead with a half-baked plan and open the campus anyways. As anyone can see the construction is still not completed and there doesn’t exist the infrastructure to accommodate 120 extra students in Jsr. The thought is since everything is happening online they wont need to worry about that, but there is a more pertinent issue at play here. All students who joined Jamshedpur were of a higher merit bracket than the NCR ones (basis whatever parameters there are to judge a student for admission) . This shoring of better students in JSR was purely to secure the talent and not leave them hanging at the expense of competing institutes like IIM L, K etc .. Now regardless of the fact we do have common placements or whatever name comes on the resume, recruiters want that top tier of creamy students only. There is nothing the mighty administration (directors and deans) or placecomm can do about that .. the companies know what percentile of students joined which campus, most are alumni of this institute and are well aware of the situation. So don’t expect top tier recruiters to not have the quirks and give NCR students a skip.
Exlink and the administration need to show the college in the good light but we as students understand the burden 25 lakhs can create especially if spent on something you don’t know the whole truth of.
I can tell you as an insider that nothing is certain, least of all our own placements and we are sick and tired of an administration who neither knows professionalism or ethics and is blatantly lying to prospective candidates
We wouldn’t have been against helping place 120 more students but frankly this year changed everything, none of the stakeholders from the student body were consulted including the placement committee the student council or support committees. So of course, you can imagine our surprise when the admin pulls that stunt of burdening us with your placements without consulting anyone, least of all the stakeholders who are directly responsible for every aspect of your placement. There is much more of their authoritarian behaviour, but I won’t air all our dirty laundry here.
For NCR folks, you will get jobs, you will get GOOD opportunities but, in all honesty, they won’t be the same as your Jamshedpur peers. if that is acceptable to you, come on along and we will face this storm together and try our best to do something. We will help you ace the opportunities that are available to you.
This concerted push to fill the seats is because of the 30-crore deficit the college is in due to the loss of professional trainings it normally conducts but can’t this year. Know the college doesn’t care about you or your jobs, XAT will happen again next year and some more students will come along unaware.
Once you pay those fees, you are at their mercy for better or worse.
Before the great many idiots come and accuse me of moving the waitlist, being a phony etc .... The first case we all did as a batch was Mike Valenti and the spoilt pasta case by Rahul Shukla (Verify it from any of the 362 students in Xlri :P )
Till when we can expect a refund of money paid to be in the waitlist?
If there's anyone who hasn't joined the JSR BM converts unofficial WhatsApp group, please message us on pg, we'll add you.
We're 168 now, the others have not joined yet.
