So i called AO today to clear the last date for refund situation. The person told me "We follow AICTE regulations but last official date for full refund is 25th July, still you can ask for refund till 10th August but if a seat isn't filled there won't be any refund in that case, so it is better to do it before official date."

I can't miss highlighting efficiency of xlri AO. I sent mail to AO at 1215 hours on 20 jul for withdrawal of BM jamshedpur admission duly attaching pic of cancelled cheque and same day at 2120 hours I received intimation from AO that my refund has been processed n amount will be credited in my bank in next 3 days. Floored by their efficiency/prompt response. Fns....in less than half of money returned by xl meri fms mein complete mba ho jai gi.

Let’s be clear about this, I HAVE GIVEN UP my XL NCR seat, see my previous posts and have no interest in WL movement. I URGE YOU STRONGLY TO READ this fully before deciding.
I’m just concerned for many others in this platform who are deluded about the admin’s promises. Today, the admin put out another letter (see below) and reading this I was so glad I got out of this false dreamland.
First off, you will get a degree from XL-NCR, NOT from XLRI JSR. AICTE didn’t give permission for a single institute as many have already mentioned. Hence, it is already a separate institute.
The next line cleverly says “we are firm in our intent to run common placements, summer and finals together for both campuses”
Just a few days ago, we were told that only summers will be common. Then, the PComm sent out a mail which on the surface looks nice but only EXPOSES the lies of the admin. There will never be common placements, simply because most top companies will refuse to visit a campus that is struggling to fill 100 seats from a pool of 1000+ students. Consultancies or FMCG don’t go to a single new IIM, nor IIFT, all of which have been around for far longer than XL NCR (Go to my profile and read longer posts debunking this myth of common placements)
Next, this email ends by saying – ignore others’ opinion of XL NCR and don’t get concerned about any other information. This is like a cult brainwashing, where people tell you not to question, not to doubt, just have faith in the admin and it will all work out. THIS IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT ANY ASPIRANT SHOULD DO! If you are paying 25 lakhs, you bloody well deserve to have all facts in hand.
If the institute really had nothing to hide and was amazing, this wont be happening? You never see director of IIM ABC or even XLRI JSR writing something like this. Remember, there is never so much smoke without some fire.
Finally, my friends tell me that the director had a video call to “reassure” students about XL NCR. Can you please name a single institute in top 10 in which the director does this? Hell, director didn’t have to reassure students about Jamshedpur, then WHY XL NCR? How is this any different from Arindham Chaudhari’s IIPM scam, atleast he did it more smartly.
Join XL NCR if you want but dont be deluded and then when reality hits be disappointed. Go in with all the facts in your hand. You will never be equal to Jamshedpur, the brand wont mean shit and the admin is lying to fill up seats.
I’m just glad I got out of this false dreamland and gave up my XL NCR seat.

Hi, Can someone clear my doubt regarding last date for full refund?
I am waiting for FMS and i may withdraw after 25th July, so i called AO to clarify and they told me they follow AICTE but official date is 25th July. They told me that you can withdraw till date mentioned by AICTE but once classes start and seats would not be filled and in that case no refund would be processed, it is adviced to take refund before official date.
What should i do?
I saw a comment on one of the posts below which said there was a task conducted by XL seniors for converts. Will it be conducted again after some of the waitlist candidates convert later?
Also i know releasing sensitive information is tricky but can seniors help us waitlisted candidates in these unprecedented times due to Covid-19 and tell us how many converts took part in that task. A lot of us here are in a difficult spot due to the current situation. I request you @Ray_xl and other AdCom members to help.

A question to the management saying that NCR is just an extension and everything will remain same. Why would you select the top students directly into Jamshedpur campus? If you wanted both campuses to be equal, you should either have given choice to the students to select the campus of their preference or assigned any one randomly. The fact that you selected the best candidates for Jamshedpur campus itself shows how NCR students will be second class citizen of your esteemed college.
My views about XLRI Delhi NCR:
1. The launch of new campus is risky for any institute no matter how big the name of the institution is, previously IIFT, ISB and MDI have opened new campuses Kolkata, Mohali and Murshidabad respectively.
2. Even if we assume that XLRI put its best foot forward even then there is a high chance of failure because of the COVID-19 as companies are already uneasy on recruiting new people so I don't think companies will be ready to gamble on a new institute.
3. CAT 2020 is just 3 months away so and if you have already studied last year these three months are all you need to get into the top IIMs.
4. As I got to know that on the final degree the campus names will be mentioned so maybe even if XLRI denies it there will be differences between both the campuses, not only from the administration but also from the recruiting companies.
5. Return on investment: The final package compared to the fees of the institution. XLRI is very expensive with a fees of 25 lac rupees and this just for the college other expenses which may include travelling to and from college, shopping for electronics and other things might take this total to around 30 lacs, which is a huge amount for any common man. And with the uncertainty regarding the college status might not be able to provide a final package at par.
