Any telegram group for converts/waitlisted people?
Alright, this one's for those who are probably devastated now due to a reject or an unrealistic wait-list. I'd like to draw your attention to stoic philosophy and how it has helped me deal with such moments. The underlying principle is that it is meaningless to ponder over outcomes that are not under our control. Know that after the interview, we had no control over the final list but now we do have control over how we can react to a rejection. Our reaction here will dictate the next phase of our lives rather than the B School we choose to go to, as silly as it may sound. I don't want to make this all motivational and will hence stray away from that. I'm sure you have friends and seniors to do that for you. I just want to request you to not take the rejection harshly and not have it cause any kind of self-doubt in you. The whole cause and effect web is convoluted and attempting to make sense of it laughable. It's best to go with the flow and try your best to make the most of what you have control over (your future) rather than what you don't (the past). I urge you to take care of yourself, and most importantly, your mental health. Have a breather, you deserve it. Feel free to DM if you want to talk. *"That's life" by Frank Sinatra plays in the background* ~ A high percentiler with a reject in both.
BM WL 98. What are my chances of getting converted?
Dear Adcom Would request you to throw light on the following issues. 1. The admission letter says the orientation will be online from 1st August. Does XL plan to conduct the first semester online? If yes how does it plan to recover the lost experience of peer learning and campus life later, for ex. SPJ plans to extend the session by some time probably beyond april in 2nd year? 2. Would there be any concessions in the fee if the session is conducted online as students would not be using residence and several other essential amenities on campus? Thanks for your time.
Did we have to select the Delhi campus as a preference or does everyone directly be considered for its selection process as well?(I do not remember selecting it :/). And will the fee structure be the same?

This may sound silly, but can someone explain me what direct rejection means? Like on the xlri website I got the following message-"We are sorry to inform that you could not make it to the 1st list of top one hundred eighty and waitlist of next top three hundred sixty short-listed for HRM (2020-2022) at XLRI." Is this a direct rejection or do i have a shot at the second waitlist?
