Hello Aspirants!
Every year the School of Human Settlements (SHS) at XIM University (New Campus) Odisha aims to host its annual urban fest -Innovations
It is an annual urban fest that attempts to provide innovative solutions and spread awareness about urban issues through competitions. The students across various colleges and schools of Odisha do the participation. The fest had a series of competitions, i.e.
Dream City - The purpose of this event is to imagine, express, and present the futuristic ideas of a city.
Mayoral Speech - This event aims to enhance the participant’s leadership skills, enabling them to explore the third tier of the governance mechanism in India and understand the intricacies involved in policy information and implementation.
Urban Trivia - It was organized with Xquizzete. In this event, there were quizzes and games which provided an excellent opportunity to explore the urban domain.
SAGA - A storytelling competition where each contestant would have to prepare an intriguing story about how they saw their city change and how it impacted the social and ecological environment.
5.Nrithya - Nrithya, a super thrilling dance event, puts front a platform to hunt more talented dancers and encourages them to showcase their talent on this platform.
6.Innovations - In this, the participants were expected to share their views and opinions on the rising issues of the urban domain and ways of tackling them through an essay on the theme - “Re-Think Cities".

Through CAT exam, the following cut offs are there :
Domicile Male, Engineer is usually around 75 (VA), 58 (DILR), 60 (QA), 81 (Overall)
Domicile Male, Non Engineer is usually around 75 (VA), 55 (DILR), 55 (QA), 76 (Overall)
Non-Domicile Male, Engineer is usually around 75 (VA), 58 (DILR), 60 (QA), 81 (Overall)
Non-Domicile Male, Non Engineer is usually around 75 (VA), 55 (DILR), 55 (QA), 76 (Overall)
The hostel rooms are single or double occupancy.
