Hello adcom
I have submitted full fees one week before but still haven’t received any mail with official links to join groups. When can I expect that?

I received my admission offer letter yesterday and I have been given till 4th July to make full fee payment but I have to appear for registration by 27th June latest and it’s said that I have to show receipt for full first year fee payment on 27th. I’ve applied for the loan and it’ll take some time to process it. What do I do?

since the RM program started under XIM University in 1995, the School of Rural Management at XIM University has grown out of the successful trajectory of the RM program. The School of Rural Management is committed to creating devoted individuals with the contextual comprehension, specialized management knowledge, and abilities required to meet the particular difficulties faced by the organization working on India’s rural development.
To effectively manage rural institutions, businesses, development programs, and civil society organizations engaged in work on progressive economic development and social transformation, the school places a strong emphasis on developing reflective professionals and enlightened knowledge leaders.
The educational elements of the school’s program emphasize experiential learning through substantial fieldwork. The institution offers the two-year, full-time MBA in Rural Management (MBA-RM), formerly the PGDRM (of XIM). The university also provides a Ph.D. in rural management.
The MBA-RM offers an “MBA-plus” program that goes above and beyond the typical management curriculum to create socially and morally responsible professionals who have a deep awareness of the rural context, communities, markets, and possibilities. The Ph.D. programs produce researchers and academics who are thought leaders in their fields, advance knowledge of problems and produce the next generation of experts with even more in-depth knowledge and cutting-edge abilities. The master’s degree in rural management offered by the school of rural management is the second-oldest in the nation and ranked 15th worldwide.

The goals, principles, and ethics that XIM University established as the foundation of its education are instilled in students. The School of Human Resource Management aims to create human resource professionals who are highly skilled and knowledgeable about industry, society, and government.
Courses available in this discipline include Organisational Behaviour (OB), Human Resource Management (HRM), and Industrial Relations (IR); the list is exhaustive. Additionally, it provides courses that teach planning and management skills for public systems. Modules for hands-on learning, including in actual projects with professors and organizations engaged in policy formation and impact evaluation, technical support and advising with government, corporate, and civil society organisations, are at the heart of its graduate degree and other programmes.
The School of Human Settlements’ two-year full-time Urban Management Programs (MBA-UMG) are supported by the academic rigour and excellence for which XIM University is known. On September 16 and 17, 2022, the School of Human Settlements at XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, successfully organised its annual urban conclave.
“Innovating Sustainable Urbanization” served as the summit’s subject. Fr. S Antony Raj S.J., Registrar, XIM University, Odisha, gave a speech after Dr Kajri Mishra, Dean, and School of Human Settlements, welcomed everyone and set the event’s goals.
Managing GDP and using cities as economic engines
Eminent business leaders and thinkers gave energising lectures and participated in lively debates at the conclave. The speaker discussed the idea of cities as economic engines and the challenges in controlling city GDP (Gross Domestic Product). Initiatives like electrification and decarburisation of road transportation are included in the general theme of the topic, “We rely on facts to ensure that we stay on track.” The speakers strongly emphasised regional and urban planning, including its socioeconomic implications.

The five GDPs and tactical urbanisation:-
The five GDPs (Gross Domestic Products) that make up the sustainability of urbanisation were discussed on the panel, as well as the idea of tactical urbanisation. The speaker addressed the proposal for measuring and correcting road geometry for speed calming. Their plan to accomplish five of the seventeen SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) by 2030 was further described.

The annual urban conclave aims to help students imagine and discuss how to create sustainable cities, broadening their viewpoint and understanding. It introduced the systematic method of managing the roads to the audience. The discussion discussed the challenges of implementing efficient urban planning and providing solutions through technological advancements and innovative thinking.

School of Sustainability, XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, successfully hosted its Annual Sustainability Business Conclave “Parivartan” on 17th of September 2022. The theme for the summit was “Scope and Challenges of the Electric Vehicle Industry” and the agenda was “Ecosystem Assessment of electric mobility, multistakeholder Dialogue” The event commenced with a welcome note by Prof. Dr. Sutapa Pati (Dean: School of Sustainability), followed by an address by Fr. S Antony Raj S.J, Registrar, XIM University, Odisha and Prof. Dr. Tamoghna Acharyya: Faculty Coordinator ConXerv.

The conclave saw the participation of stakeholders from all sectors of the electric vehicle industry. The momentum for the event was set up by the analysis of the sustainability revolution in the automotive industry through a global lens. The challenges faced by the EV manufacturing sector in the Indian sub-continent were one of the major highlights of the deliberation. The ideal features of government policy toward EV transition and the role of technology to make the transition profitable were also discussed. The event was concluded with a motivating statement by one of the esteemed speakers emphasizing upon the urgency of EV transition which was “From the Machine that changed the world, to the machine that must be changed for the world”.

On the 17th and 18th of October, 2022, the School of Commerce, XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, organized its Annual Business Conclave, "PRIVITTI,” successfully. In this event, stalwarts from the industry are welcomed to guide and enlighten the students about the financial scenario worldwide. The theme for the business conclave was “Finance 6.0 Changing Outlook”. The conclave aimed at the perspectives of the significant transformation in the financial and banking sectors. Prof. Dr. P.K. Mohanty, Dean of the School of Commerce, XIM University, opened the event with a welcome talk, followed by an address by Prof. Dr. Saveeta Mohanty, Associate Dean of HRM, XIM University.

The conclave was held for two days and had eight sub-themes. Eminent speakers, professors, and post-graduate and undergraduate students attended the conclave. The purpose of the business conclave was to discuss the impact of major changes in the financial and banking sectors. There were discussions on how the world is fast changing, from blockchain to artificial intelligence, FinTech to cryptocurrencies, and cashless payments to ultimate automation. In the face of such a significant transition, the financial and banking worlds must be approached from a fresh perspective. The event ended with a quote, “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for for. We are the change that we seek” by Barack Obama.

“XpectRM" was successfully hosted by the School of Rural Management at XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, and the Rural Management Alumni Committee. “Post-Pandemic Pathways: CSR, Development and Rural Marketing” was the focus of the fifth annual leadership conference. The summit was split into two sessions: Rural Marketing and CSR & Development.

The main CSR programs, including work on the environment, plantation work, health, education, sustainable livelihood, women’s empowerment, sports, and other activities were discussed by the speakers.

XpectRM was designed to help students comprehend sustainable business practices that create long-term value by analyzing how a particular organization functions in its ecological, social, and economic contexts. The students were counseled to apply capacity-building techniques and livelihood strategies to increase awareness of and enhance their perception of development policies.

School of Human Resource Management, XIM University (New Campus), Odisha, propitiously organized “Kshitij,” the annual HR conclave, on the 29th of October, 2022. The summit’s theme was “Changing Work and Workplace: Implications for Business.”

The event aimed to bring together eminent industry stalwarts under one roof to discuss trending business and human resource-related themes. The summit featured enticing presentations and panel discussions headed by notable human resource leaders. They explored the future of workplaces, flexibility due to the widespread use of technology, and various business model challenges faced by managers and leaders.

Every year, Kshitij conducts a case competition that entices students from prominent colleges, universities, and industry leaders. It consists of three stages: a quiz, a case study submission, and the grand finale. On the day of the conclave, 11 teams presented their respective case solutions in the grand finale. The winners were announced during the event’s closing ceremony and received certificates and a monetary prize of 1.5 lakhs.
