Preparation tip #1 - Don't only assimilate information and news rather assess it through your own lens. Have opinions about current news.

My personal favorite political news resource -

http://www.livemint.com/politics

my cgpa is 6.4 which translates to 64% acc. to conversion formula used by my college.

Am i eligible ?

Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM), IIT Kharagpur has fortified its position as one of the pre-eminent business schools of the country by successfully completing the first phase of the final placement drive within a week for the MBA class of 2016. The first phase of placements has seen a record 103 offers made for a batch of 102 students, with 15 students bagging pre-placement offers and interviews through their summer internships. The highest compensation (CTC) offered so far stands at 20.47 LPA. With 70% of the students already securing a package (CTC) of above 11 LPA, the placement process will enter into its second phase in January with more companies and dream offers lined up for the students.

Preparation tip#2 : Don't throw terms which you can't explain. Interview is always about your in-depth knowledge rather than jargons. Here is useful link for basic finance concepts- http://www.investopedia.com/university/concepts/

@goel_baba I have 2 queries:

1. Approximate ratio of [Students Called: Students converted] for 2015-17 batch.

2. Preference given to work experience, and any other useful info regarding this aspect.

@goel_baba  I did b.com then completed m.com (through distance mode) and while doing m.com through distance mode i was working in a company. Am i eligible to apply?

Does the current batch have non engineers?

Also, what was gen CAT cut off last year?

Application form will be out the very next day of CAT result. It will be available for 3 weeks.
