Here is what Abhinav Kashyap, EPGP 2015-2016 student has to say:
"My experience is predominantly in B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Customer) sales for the high-end segment of the real estate industry. Attending the EPGP course at IIM, Bangalore has been one of the best decisions. The sheer depth of experience and wealth of knowledge that one is exposed to, in the form of the faculty and peers is truly unmatched. The lucid mix of academic classroom learning, case-based study approach, insightful projects and hearty peer interaction is exemplary. The EPGP classroom is nothing short of a sea of experience where there is as much to learn outside the classroom, as much as there is inside. The course is an excellent launchpad for managers looking for that shift which differentiates them from others and prepares them to be business leaders of the future."

Can you please help me with profile feedback?

Hi there,

Does IIMB consider the work experience till the time of matriculation or till the time of application?

Regards

Is it required to submit the GMAT score through GMAC. I took the GMAT last year and will have to order an additional score report. How long does it take to reach the institute?

Hello Everone,

I am considering EPGP/PGPX course, however there are few items I am unsure about.

1) If I consider the ROI of this programme using the average salary of 22 LPA of past 2 year, then I am getting negative ROI.

2) I have currently 8 years of work ex and if at all I will pursue this programme, I can do that only after 4 yrs, so that time I will be having 12 yrs of work ex. If I see the profile of IIM B students then rarely one I will find with 12+ yrs of work ex. I am not sure if this is negative point.

3) If I see the profile of IIM B students almost all are from premier engineering students, I have done 3 year Diploma in Computer Engineering and then part time degree in computer engineering from IETE. Again education profile does not stand compared to other.

reason I am considering this programme is because I have had technical roles like pre-sales, architect, consultant in cloud computing and mobility and there is nothing much left in exploring in technical arena apart from getting couple of promotion and getting the word principle in the designation (with same work doing today). Before I start in roles related to management and leadership I want to learn the basics for this which can help in long term and Manangement institutes is the place where this can be achieved.

i am in dilemma whether I should go and prepare for these programmes or not.

request you all to please share your suggestions based on the background I have mentioned.

Hi,

I am in the IT services sector for the past 4 years, out of which I have 1 year of international experience working for a European govt. project. I am from a completely technical background with a B.E. in IT and am strongly looking at pursuing a business development manager role in the future and as such believe that the EPGP is right for me. Going by my number of years of exp. (4.5 years by Mar 2016), do you think there is a chance I'd be able to land myself a role as a BD manager post the EPGP or will I be placed at a lower level?

This is important for me to understand since I want to know the applicability of an MBA at this stage in my career.

Hello ~ The SOP limit is 600 words. Can it vary? If yes, by how many words?

Hello~ Does the admission committee inform about the reasons of rejection?

Hello~ Does Admission Committee , read every application irrespective of what the applicant's GMAT score is?

I am from a completely technical background with a B.E. and entire career in IT. My academic as well as GMAT scores is as below

10th - 88%

12th  - 82%

BE (EC) - 69%

GMAT - 610 in May 2012

All 10 years of experience in IT services companies and specialization in B2B technical role.

Could you please help me with profile suitability feedback for the

EPGP course?

Hi Aspirants,

Do you need assistance free of charges.

Are you in GMAT/app dilemma?

Whether to take another attempt at the GMAT or proceed with the application?

Should I hire a consultant to review my app or not?

The cost-benefit analysis?

You want some expert to review your essays?

Someone who knows the process and knows what type of candidates makes it to the process.

Plz ping me.

This is not a spam as I am starting admission consulting free of cost to help students who are unable to pay hefty consultant fees make the best use of it.

My aim is to create level playing field for all.

Thanks.

Hello @EPGP_IIMB : the following questions remained unanswered during the webinar due to lack of time. Can you please answer the questions below:

1 Hi, How much time will be provided between declaration of results and payment for 1st installment for Round-1. Website only mention about date for results but not for acceptance of offer or 1st payment.

2 How much is the presence of telecom companies in the placement process, and the types of roles that are offered to guys coming from significant technical expertise and planning to move into Strategic management and customer engagement?

3 Can you just expand on the written analysis test? the type of topics. the time, the length etc. (sorry, If it is already discussed and I missed the beginning few mins of the webinar)

4. how do you weigh candidates who has worked in one company for 8 years? Do you see diversity in no. of companies as a more important achievement or quality of work experience?

Hello,Do we have to write a separate re-applicant essay? (I applied last year) I could not find it anywhere in the application.

In the tab " Contact Details" . I am not able to enter the mobile number. Repeatedly the same error of putting in country code , area code etc is being displayed. For India the country code is 91. Still it is showing error. Kindly help in prescribing the format for number entry.
