Hi, I wanted to know how are the job prospects of graduates with past experience in Sourcing/ Supply chain in  non IT product /service companies. Other than consultancy , does any product based companies visit for such profiles.

Hi,

This is a query related to the admission process. How does IIM B consider multiple GMAT scores. Does it consider only the highest of the reported scores or average the multiple scores. And will having a previous low score undermine the chances of getting admitted.

Dear Guys,

Query: Is word limit on SOP , a make or break aspect of the application form. The application mentions maximum word limit: 600. I started with my SOP at ~890 words, but reduced it to 700 now. Cannot reduce it more without removing essential contents. Is it possible that the application is rejected due to crossing the word limit (by around 100 words or so)?

Any experiences, please share?

 1. I have almost 10 yrs of work ex.. Planning to submit recommendation from my current company where I am working since last 4 years. Do I need to submit recco from my past employer lets say.. first compay?

2. In SOP, have added few incidents\responsibilities from my present company.. My recommend-or may cover those.. is it okay or should cover details not covered in application?

3. In SOP, do we need to put details only about professional achievements\responsibilities  or we can cover personal incidents also?

Hi Adcom Team,

My query is related to international work experience for the purpose of application process.

I have been travelling abroad for onsite project deliveries for the last 4 years (project durations ranging from 2 months to 8 months). Are such business trips covered under International Work Experience ? I have been involved in these projects in client facing roles on a day to day basis, in addition to the technical aspects of the delivery.

I am planning to apply for ePGP 2016-17 batch. My GMAT score is 720, I am an IIT graduate with a 10 years experience in operations / supply chain in a PSU in Oil & Gas Sector. Please advise on the following:

1. Whether the companies coming for placement for PGPex include those offering roles in Operations/Supply Chain. Please cite some examples.

2. Whether there are specific courses/electives in ePGP IIMB catering to Supply Chain Management.

1 Year gap in education (Between 12th & College).

(Planning to retake, however 660- would have any chance?)

Hi All,

I am a re-applicant. I had applied last year also, but couldn't get through the interview. Now, the point is that there is a very slight change in my application from last year to this year- SOP and EC, Awards, almost remain the same. The main reason behind this is that I am on a career break since 1.5 years due to personal reasons. Kindly suggest that despite the above facts, how can I better my application?

@EPGP_IIMB  hi , In the placement brochure i read that around 3-4 % of the batch get into marketing. Need to ask whether Marketing profiles are limited at IIM B. I am from Industrial Sales Background and aspire to move into marketing post MBA. Also i see there are very few ppl who come from Sales and Marketing background ? Is it true that IT roles/profiles dominates and there are very few options for Marketing in FMCG or Manufacturing Industry. Please share some insight.
