thanks for the reply ashish. In fact i believe it was the upgrade that resulted in my username changing from josevin2000 to Bosvin.
Anyways its nice of you guys to start this thread. And thanks for all your valuable inputs so far. So when do you guys begin with your classes? I hope you all continue to be associated with this thread to give next years' hopefuls a first hand account of life in the HKU MBA.
I for one will also be applying to HKU next year along with HKUST, NUS, NTU and ISB. Am also tilted towards Hongkong as I want to settle down with a career in finance. In Asia it sure is the place to be also from the point of view of recovering your mba investment.
Wil post my queries as and when they cross my head. Thanks again guys and wish you all a fruitful and eventful year ahead.
Cheers,
Jose.

I am in the process of applying to HKU. have a few queries. please help. I have written to the adcom but no reply :(
1. What supporting docs do i need to send? Can i send scanned copies via email?
2. Can my referees send the recos via email?
3. I see only 1 essay (SOP) in the application form, are there no other essays?
4. Do they need the official GMAT score reporting via Pearson?
Any help asap will be great guys. I know I am quite late in applying.
Thanks, Ankush
Hi Ankush, There is another thread for HKU still I respond to your queries through this thread.
1) These details are mentioned on the website itself. You need to send all the copies through post. Additionally, you may also send the scanned copies through mail but it is not a substitute to the hard copies which you anyways have to send.
2) Your refrees can send the recos through mail. It can be sent to the official MBA admissions ID of the school.
3) There is only one SOP (but it covers good amount stuff! It is in no way less than 3-4 separate essays).
4) Yes. They need the GMAT through Pearson VUE for processing your application.
Hope this helps.
ATB and apply asap. Do let me know in case you need any other support. Bests...
Thank makl! Really helpful. One final question please. Is there a word document for the Referee reports available on the website which the Referee can edit and send?

I am applying to the MBA program for 2012 intake. I have one query from the application. Under the section English Requirement Sections:
There is a section which is as follows: Exemption^1,2 Please note that exemption will only be granted in exceptional circumstances and the outcome of your application for exemption will be disclosed at a very late stage. If you do not have a valid TOEFL score by then, you will not be eligible for admission to our taught postgraduate programmes in the coming academic year. You are therefore strongly advised to take the TOEFL or other recognized English proficiency test listed above, even though you intend to apply for exemption. (max. 200 words)
I need to know since my Graduation was done in English medium i should be waived of for TOEFL exam. So what i have to write here?
Can the people who have had an opportunity to interview for the HKU program kindly shed light on your interview expirience? Can you share the kind of question we can expect in the interview?

Referees has to submit their recommendations to me and I have to send to HKU in the following address by post: Faculty of Business and Economics, The University of Hong Kong, Room 104, Cyberport 4, 100 Cyberport Road, Hong Kong My question is what should I mention in the subject field? There has to be some reference (like my application nos etc., to these documents linked to my application right?
