On June 20, 2025, Sparsh Global Business School conducted the Summer Internship Project (SIP) Viva for our PGDM students — a vital academic milestone that bridges theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
Students were grouped and evaluated by a distinguished panel comprising corporate professionals and internal examiners. The viva sessions served as a platform for students to present the depth of their industry insights, practical experiences, and problem-solving abilities developed during their internships.

The journey kicked off with an exciting city tour where students explored the vibrant streets, iconic landmarks, and rich cultural heritage of Singapore. From Marina Bay to Chinatown, it was a perfect start to an unforgettable international experience!
This program is designed to provide global exposure, cross-cultural learning, and insights into international business practices—empowering our students to become future-ready leaders.
Today, our PGDM students at SGBS tackled the Emerging Market and Execution Challenge in International Business, gaining practical insights that will be invaluable for their Global Immersion Program at the prestigious National University of Singapore (NUS)!
They deep dive into the CAGE Framework application to real-world scenarios, analyzing how cultural, administrative, geographic, and economic factors influence global expansion. It wasn’t just about spotting opportunities; it was about understanding the “distance” involved. The biggest takeaway was the critical role of execution—from adapting to local nuances to aligning global teams, this simulation showcased the true demands of international business.
This crash course truly highlighted, from on-ground adaptation to aligning global teams, what it takes to expand beyond ambition.

Our students delivered a compelling case study presentation on “McDonald’s vs Vikram Bakshi”, unpacking the complexities of international market entry and execution challenges.
This practical application of knowledge marked a fantastic conclusion to our sessions with the esteemed Dr. Nitin Pangarkar. Truly grateful for the learning journey and this memorable moment with the cohort outside NUS’s iconic Shaw Foundation Building!
Our PGDM students had the invaluable opportunity to attend an insightful session on “Risk Management with Integration of AI” led by Mr. Frankie Phua, Managing Director and Head of Group Risk Management at UOB, Singapore.
The session shed light on how AI—through tools like predictive analytics, machine learning, and real-time monitoring—is reshaping risk frameworks across the banking sector. From managing financial and operational risks to tackling cybersecurity and compliance, students explored AI’s transformative impact.
Key highlights included discussions on Singapore’s upcoming Handbook on the Use of AI in the Financial Sector, ethical considerations, algorithmic biases, and the irreplaceable role of human oversight in ensuring responsible and transparent AI adoption.

Our PGDM students recently visited the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Gallery in Singapore—an inspiring space dedicated to showcasing the city’s cutting-edge and sustainable transport innovations.
This self-exploratory, immersive learning experience offered students an in-depth look into the intricate systems that power Singapore’s world-class transport network. The gallery’s futuristic concept—centered around a calming blue palette that reflects both LTA’s identity and the intelligence of its strategies—presented imaginative prototypes of future buses and cityscapes.
