Heyy I applied for the MGB program today itself.
Just wanted to know how frequent are the evaluations done and will I be considered for the May 2013 batch or not ?

hi! If you are taking the GMAT, then we need to have your scores by 31st march 2013, so if you are taking the test on 15th, you will have your unoffical scores with which you can apply. You can submit the official scorecard if you are shortlisted. Alternatively, you can also take the SPJain aptitude test. Our next intake is August 2013.

Thank you for the advise . I will be filling up the application and submitting it across in couple of week . My question is Do I have to write TOEFL as well ? I wouldn't find time to appear for TOEFL is such a short duration .
Also, I see in the website the evaluation round end on 23rd Feb . What 're my chances if I am shortlisted . Appreciate if you could clarify ( Aiming for MAY intake ) .

Regards!

Hi Shixie this was d reply i had given to another guy who had similar questions...hope this helps...
Its after the post application process where the real work starts. I won't call it tough but yes it is pretty competitive . I mean they do chuck out some people right after the first interview round.
Essays is easy . you got to sum it all in around 100-150 words . You will get two essays , don't worry topic is easy not very vague topics. For example I got 'A person who has influenced you in your personal or professional life' and the second topic I am not able to recall.
For the PI round they will ask some question on the basis of your educational background, pretty easy ones not really very technical like since I am an economics graduate they asked me inflation, deflation and the components of GDP. They might ask about your work exp. Why you want to this program. And yeah the first question they will ask you is to give a brief intro about yourself. If you have work exp. Do try to integrate more and more of it when you explain them about yourself.
The case studies are based on the specialization you are choosing. Truly no need at all to prepare for the case study, cause they don't want you to use Mc Kinsey analysis models etc, all they are looking for is what you think should be the answer in general . So there is no need at all to prepare for the Case study analysis. Do ping me if you need any other help..
Best of luck.. ☺

P.S: there are a bunch of interviewers and some of them are realy looking forward to grill the candidates. According to one of the guys it's a nazis camp inside the interview room. So it depends on your luck if you get an easy interview like I did or a tough one.

i have writte the SPJAT conducted on 10th Feb 2013. If i do not meet the criteria after the evaluation, can i write the SPJAT that is scheduled on 10th Mar 2013 also?

Hello All,

I have 4 years of IT experience. I am interested in the MBA outside india. Am starting up with GMAT and trying to take it on May 2013.
I came across GMBA now and is it good for me to take SPJAT on March 2013 and what will be the process for the same?

Thanks
1. In the below link there is no clickable area anywhere.

2. Will this SPJAT score have any effect on August or December Intakes, if am going to take GMAT and SPJAT the second time?

@ rutty_bharucha Respected Madam, I am a Marine Engineering graduate, i graduated in 2008 and have a CGPA of 9.03, i have 51 months of experience, and am presently sailing as a 2nd Assistant engineer. I am very much interested in the GMBA program and wish to pursue a MBA from your renowned institute. In this context i have already appeared for the SPJAT (conducted on 20th Jan 2013) and my result does meet the SP JAIN requirements. Now my problem is that I have an employment bond with my present employer, the bond will be terminating in September 2013 and hence i can only apply for the November'13 intake and not before that. My company plans on sending me back on board ship in march, now my concern is, that by the time i return from my ship i.e in October, most probably i will miss the November 2013 admission deadline, thus mam, i want to know whether there is any provision by which i can apply for the November 2013 intake now. I have gone through the entire SP JAIN GMBA website including the FAQ's but could not find one, i have also read your responses on PaGaLGuy.com (Ask SP Jain School), in some you have mentioned that it is possible for a selected candidate to deffer admission to the next intake. So Mam, i wish to seek your advice and suggestion on this issue. I am sincerely interested in this program and therefore request you to please provide some insight on this matter so that i can apply accordingly.
hi! Would suggest that you mail this query on [email protected]

hi! See we can't decide on your eligibility based on just these details. Since you have the required 3 years work experience you can apply for GMBA, the admissions committee will check for other parameters.

Is mgb equivalent to the mba degree....in india if i opt for a job in India.....i mean to say that is this the mba degree or not??? Will it b treated as masters in businees administration....?? Or i hv to opt for something else....as i have no work experience
MGB is Masters in Global Business and not an MBA program. You can however convert your MGB into a GMBA degree subject to fulfilling certain Terms and conditions which are mentioned on our website.

Hi! If you have already applied and meet all our admission criterias you will be called for the evaluations in Feb. TOEFL/IELTS is mandatory for your Australia Visa but you can take that later, we need the score by 31st March 2013.
