As per current Forex rate..fees is 29L (coarese fees : 24Lac INR and food,other living cost and travel expense between the cities : 5 Lac( AED 700 per month or SGD 500 per month or AUD 750 per month plus 1.2Lac for tickets )... is it not very high investment?...i haven't included 160 USD for cancelling Dubai VIsa post completing coarse.

Hi Rutty,

I have got waitlisted for this year's admission.
How soon am I expected to hear about offer/rejection, as the course starts in Nov and my current employer asks for a 3 month period notice before resignation.
Kindly also share if the waitlisted students would get any kind of intimation at all.

Hi! Waitlisted applications are reviewed at regular intervals till the close of admissions. Since you have said Nov. intake Iam presuming you are for the MGB program. You should max. get an update by early September.

How is CMM specialization in comparison to ITM specialization? Ast this is a bit new and there is not much info available for this. I am an IT guy but working as a Business analyst.

I am confused between CMM and ITM ....please help!

Hey Rutty,
I submitted my MGB application yesterday. Following are the highlights:
CAT: 99.36
Grad: 6.1 (This is where the problem lies 😞 )
12th: 81.6
10th: 88
College: IIIT Hyderabad (So, had a 99+ percentile in AIEEE too).
Work experience: 5 months in an MNC (consulting) + about an year in self employment
Extracurriculars: decent

What are the chances of getting shortlisted ?
Also, is everyone able to get a loan (as per past statistics) ?
What are the chances of bagging a scholarship ?

Hope you are well.I had applied for GMBA on 27 June and gave SPJAT on 22nd July.I have 5 years of experience in Operations.(2.7 years manager + 1.8 years ecexutive + 0.5 years Marketing service) The result for the same is pending and on putting mail to [email protected],I am getting a constant reply to wait till the end of the day.Several days have passed.!


My application number is 87418-CM.Also,I had sent a mail request regarding changing my preferred stream as GLSCM but i have not received any reply.

My main questions :

a) Online status shows : Wait List -Initial Screenin

We are in receipt of your application and on screening the same we have kept you on our waiting list.

Does this status include my SPJAT Scores or the scores are yet to be updated as I have not received the scores or other reply.


b) 10th : 8.0

12th : 7.2

Degree : 6.8

Though I did mention Professional dancing and Bike riding in activities but left the Extracurricular activities section Blank as I had mentioned the same in other sections.Does this adversly affect my application?

Hi,

I am asking this question specially from Alumni and next batch joiners, I have to make up my mind for this. based on your replies.
Apart from GMAT, profile, and all the bla bla.. the very important factor for deciding a go or no go for an MBA is Course fee. Now as per my estimate it goes to like 25 Lacs.

I belong to a family with just running income with no Inhand savings, Currently I am employed and will have the savings of at-most 2 lacs. So, will have to arrange other 22-23 lacs from loan. Is it doable?.. Seniors please give some insight into this from their personal experiences..how they arranged this much amount.. or this course is only for the riches?.. Please reply, my whole decision depends on this question... and if It is doable, then what risks are involved when taking a loan of such a huge amount?

Hi Rutty,
The features of the MGB program are fascinating. However, since this is the first batch for the MGB, I am apprehensive about the placement prospects. Understandably, there are no placement statistics for the MGB. However you have listed companies that recruit GMBA graduates. Is the placement cell the same for GMBA and the MGB students? With a relatively high fee structure, it seems to be a huge risk unless there is some preliminary data regarding the job profiles and salaries post graduation.

I have given SPJAT on 22nd july 2012 but till then i have'nt applied to the course . I applied on 1st of august after getting the result that I meet the cut off's of the test.
My application no.is 30667-cmm and SP JAIN Aptitude roll no. D CC-817838.
Can you please tell me how I will get to know that Iam shortlisted for evaluations .

Hi! The admissions committee will need to assess your application to comment on your eligibility. As for the scholarships pls refer our webiste on http://www.spjain.org/mgb/scholarship_n_loan.asp to know about the criteria. Bank loans are iven to students based on their credit standing . If the amount exceeds a certain limit you will be asked for a security/ mortgage. Most of our students avail a bank loan to fund their studies.

Hi! We are yet to hear from the admissions committee about your aptitude test result. At times, if the score is just on the border line the ADCOM reviews it in light of other parameters to decide if the test score can be considered this could at times lead to a delay in declaring the result. We will mail you once we hear from the ADCOM.

We have sent you a confirmation today on the specialisation change you had requested,

As for your last query, it is fine since you have mentioned them as activities.

Hi! You need to track the progress of your application online from the link given to you in the acknowledgement mail. If you are shortlisted for evaluations your status is updated accordingly on the website also you are sent a mail with instructions to register for the evaluations.
