We have stated in the acknowledgement that it normally takes 30-45 days to process an application. If your application meets all our entry parameters you will be called for the evaluations. The intimation to register for the evaluations is sent only once the evaluation date is announced on the website.
hi rutty,
It has been 3 weeks since I have submitted my application for GMBA GLSCM Dec12 intake. I have taken GMAT and hence did not appear for SPJAT.
From next day it is showing the same status.. "thank you for showing interest... and your status will be updated shortly......................."
Can you please let us know when can we know whether I have cleared the criteria and eligibale for next round or not.. When is this round scheduled???
Please throw some light on this, it is really testing the patience.
The intimation to register for the evaluations is sent only once the evaluation date is announced on the website. So students who have already applied get an intimation well in advance as compared to the ones who are still in the process of applying. For students applying from India, the evaluations are only held at Mumbai,
hi rutty when can i expect the mail regarding evaluation and it wil be hw many days prior to interview ? I hope it wil b wel in advance and does it take place only in mumbai r sme othr locations too? Cheers monsterl
Yes, we have 3-4 rounds of the aptitude test for each intake. There will be another round of the test after June as well.

Hey next date for SPJAT is on 17th June, but for some reason can't appear on 17th June. Last date for Dec2012 intake to apply is 31st August, will there be any more SPJAT test after 17th June???
Though the last date to apply for the December 2012 intake is August 31, 2012, it is advisable to apply as soon as possible. Applications are received and admissions offered to deserving candidates on a rolling basis without waiting for the final deadline
Hi Rutty, I just checked that I have received a mail from you stating that I have met the cut off for Dec'12 intake of GMBA. I have not started the application yet, could you please tell me when is the last date to fill the complete application form.
The last date to apply for the September 2012 intake is June 30, 2012, we will have a last round of evaluation after the closing date post which we close the admissions for Sept. 2012 intake.
You can take the aptitude test more than once, in which case we consider the best of your scores.
Hi, From when would the candidates applying for MGB be called for further process. And uptil when would the screening process be completed and a consolidated list of selected candidates be declared for the Sept'12 intake.
Also, one more query.Would it be beneficial for interested candidates to give the SPJAT again ,say if he scores more than in the previous attempt as the marks are not declared. Thanks.
It is rare for us to admit students with a SPJAT less than 75 percentile.
Hi Rutty,
I received a mail that I have not met the cut off criteria. Can you please tell me what is the approx cutoff for SPJAT test as myexam went well and I was expecting a positive result.
Your test score will be mapped against your application. If your application meets all our entry parameters you will be called for the evaluations. The intimation to register for the evaluations is sent only once the evaluation date is announced on the website
hi rutty , i have got the mail abt meeting cut off but the application still shows status as waitlist intial screening . So do i need to drop the mail about meeting the cut off or it will be mapped as i had provided my application number at the time of SPJAT. What are tentative dates for evaluation.. Cheers monster
Your SPJain aptitude test score will be automatically mapped to your application. It gets mapped on the basis of personal details entered in both your forms. If your application meets all our parameters you will be called for the next stage of evaluation
Hi Monster,
thanks....Even 4 me the status is "waitlist intial screening"...i submitted the application b4 taking the SPJAT....but in the answer sheet i gave the application id. i suppose the score hasn't been mapped to the application id yet....
are you trying to say you did not get your aptitude test score? if so you need to mail [email protected] immediately. You will be called for the evaluations only if your application meets all our entry parameters.

I would like to know about the transfer of MGB degree to GMBA . While you transfer the mgb degree to gmba after the students have 3 year of full time experience, will the students also be allowed to sit for the placements of gmba after the transfer?

Just one more thing Rutty. In the academic details tab while filling the application form there is asections which asks which exam i have given out of GMAT or CAT and if not then when will I give SPJAT and if I have given it earlier than it's month and year. Now I have cleared the May exam so how should I mention that cause I will not be giving the GMAT or the CAT

Hi Rutty, I was under the impression that since the admission is rolling basis, so will be interview calls. But if I read correctly what you are saying, all the applicants will get to know status of the application simultaneously. Plz correct me if I m wrong. Also I wanted to know when is the next round of evaluations expected?
It has been a very long time since the 1st batch gave spjat. Even after 50 days of the test, the dates for evaluation are not out. Candidates who have applied in the month of March are still waiting to see if they have been short-listed. Kindly throw some light on the same.
Also, the SP jain Site clearly quotes - Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, i.e., applications will be evaluated as and when these are received. The sooner you apply, the better your chances for being selected. Is this really valid?? ( Because it looks like both 1st April and 13th May spjat batches could be clubbed for evaluation session. )
Also, would the same recruiters come for MGB student placements that come for GMBA? If we convert the MGB to GMBA degree by additional 6 weeks of training, then can we sit for GMBA placements as well or we would be barred from those placement rounds ?
It has been more than 2 months since the date I have applied and almost 53 days since I took the test.
I hope you would reply something other than - The dates would be out soon !
hi! We have around 3 evaluation rounds at regular intervals for each intake. All students who have applied before a specific date and are shortlisted will be called for the evaluation round which follows. We have offers rolling out after each evaluation round, therefore we say the earlier you apply the sooner you get a decision. We will be having our first evaluation round for December 2012 intake very soon.

If you have taken the SPJain aptitude test, there is a provision in the application form to mention the month and year you took the test.

The process is ongoing and we are expecting the approval very soon.
Hi Rutty, I want to apply for Master of Global Business(MGB) for Sept-12 or the Jan-13 batch. On your site however, it states '....pending approval from UAE,Singapore and Australia...'. Kindly throw some light on these. Thanks.
hi! We evaluate a potential candidate overall, on several factors. These are: good GMAT, CAT or SP Jain aptitude test scores, good academic record, work experience, exhibited leadership qualities, analytical abilities, communication skills and other personality traits. With the details you have provided here, we would recommend you to submit your application. The admissions committee will need to see your application and interview you before giving out a decision.
We normally prefer having students with the relevant background for any of our specialisations. Having said this, we do consider cases where students wish to change their background for any particular reason but in this case we see the motivation behind their career change. You are welcome to apply for any of our specialisations but you will be asked the reason for this change and the Interviewers would also like to see your interest and knowledge of the subject.
I have a decent percentage of 70 % and above in my 10th, 12th, BE and a score of 700 in GMAT. And 5 years of experience in IT from an American MNC. I know that the admission process is taken care by the management, however still would like to know if I stand a good chance for GMBA course? Secondly I wanted to have some information on how successful are students in GMBA program to make career shifts. Although I have a strong IT background I would like to explore and work in operations. I know that stream "Operations" is not a part of your curriculum, but I would like to know more about consulting management and Logistics and Supply Chain management. What are the subjects taught in these courses. And what are the profiles offered to people after this course.
The cohort of the batch is 80 to 100. Since we have 3 specializations we are expecting on an average 30 to 40 students per specialization. The next intake would be in September 2013 and the admission procedures would start in March 2013.
Hi Rutty, One more query! How many seats are there for MGB Sept'12 batch. And when is the next batch scheduled for after Sept'12. Thanks
