the last date for evaluations is 4th of march. i have been waitlisted since january( workex of 34 months) . so is dere any date by which we can come to know that either we are shorltisted for interview or rejected? it would be very helpful if u can tell us .. thanks in advance.. 😃

Your application has been kept on a waitlist because your work experience is just on the border line of our requirement. Incase the admissions committee does consider your application on the merits of other parameters, you will be called for the evaluations happening in the first week of March. So you need to wait until then.

My application is 85067-IT. I was told that i will be getting a reply by 1st Week of Feb but now i think second evaluation also got over. What do i expect now. Should i wait till MArch 1st Week for my result.:|

I had cleared the SPJAT test and after that i have filled my application on 08.02.12, my application ID is 86030-GLSCM, but still i didn't receive any mail from SPJain.
Also, In the website (application status) there is no any update.
Whether my updates will be taken more than 1-2 weeks ? I request your help in this regards,

I asked the adcom, they said results will be out in the mid of week, so perhaps tomorrow or day after.

While we prefer to place the graduates through the campus, some graduates prefer to get back to their original organization. Also, we can place a graduate only if she/ he chooses to use our service.

The website says "100% of the batch has been placed by S P Jain's Career Services offices, have found jobs on their own, were on sabbatical or have become entrepreneurs at record salary levels.".So, does it mean that not all were placed On-Campus?and had to search for job on their own?And 100% placement is not provided On-Campus? How is it different from our Tier-1 Indian B-school placements process?

Isnt't that a bit too low? A studio in Dubai costs atleast 8000 AED per month.

and I'd like to clear something here...what I (and probably many others) gathered from this forum was that the panel interview is elimination and majority of the ppl who get to the second round are offered admission. This isn't true. I talked to the SPJ GMBA employee at the recent evaluations and I was told that it's standard procedure for everyone to go thru all rounds (written, i/v 1 and i/v 2). Only those who really mess up the panel interview are sent home. ex. if the panel thinks you're suitable for your 2nd preference of specialization but you're keen on only the first.
After the evaluations your cumulative score is calculated based on what you submitted when you applied online, written, i/v 1 and i/v 2.

Does the April'12 intake mean that classes will start from April 2012? The deadline for applying is 29 Feb but that doesn't give much time to apply for visa till April... Please clarify

@razaa: a decent studio costs at max 4k in Dubai. in all, you can live in arnd 7k AED in Dubai with a fair bit standard of living. yes the avg. salaries in Dubai are close to 11k AED/mnth after SP Jain. one can get as low as 9k pm to 15k pm. avg is 11k AED pm.

Moreover, post MBA salaries tend to increase with time. MBA as an education is more important here than the starting post MBA salary.

My question was pretty simple.
Do you provide 100% placement or is it just that you "prefer" or "wish to".
See, coming from a middle class family we would always want to explore the pros and cons of a b-school before investing the lump sum, no matter which big brand it has a tie-up with.
To further my query, I would like to bring forth that I went through the website of yours thoroughly but certain questions are crippling in my head despite that.
1.What percentage/number of students(approx) normally land with "no job" after the completion of the course(of course with all due respect to your "preferences")?
2.What happens to those who do not manage to get the 2.75 aggregate point overall?Do you provide enough interview or placement opportunities for them as well?
