S P Jain is the youngest school to be ranked in the top 1% of b-schools in the world for the 2nd consecutive year by Financial Times, UK Global MBA rankings. Also we has 2 rankings in the top 10 in the world: #3 for Value for Money and #10 for placements success The reason why we slipped overall was that FT changed some criteria last minute that adversely affected us.

When an application is screened, there are 3 outcomes, either the candidate is shortlisted for evaluations or kept on a waitlist or rejected. If your application is kept on a waitlist it is perhaps so, because you may not be meeting one or more of the admission criterias we have set. Eg. your aptitude test scores may not be meeting out cut off mark, or you may be falling short of the required work exp. or may be lacking on some other parameter
If and when your application meets all our required criterias your application will move to the next stage, which is the evaluations

I got an email from SPJAIN last week saying that I did not meet the SPJAT cut off, and if I want to improve the score, I may appear for the 19th Feb test. I have registered myself for the 19th test again. But on the website, I am seeing my status as "Wait List - Initial Screening". What does this mean? Could you please elaborate?
Since we are close to the admission deadline, you can expect an update within a week to 2 weeks time from the date of application. We may have our next evaluation around Feb-end or early March.

I have applied to the GMBA program at Sp Jain. The below is a snapshot of my profile: Xth: 83.06% XIIth: 85.33% B.E.: 60.03% CAT (2011): 91.51 percentile Wrk Ex: 32 months of IT experience at Accenture Services Private Ltd.
My application id is 85898-IT. I applied to the program at 31st January, 2012.
I checked the status today and it says that I am falling short on some criteria and as a result I am wait listed.
Can you please clarify on what criteria do I fall short? Is it the Work Ex? Also, will taking the SPJAT on the 19th of Feb boost my chances of getting accepted? Should I appear for the test? I would like to go for the GMBA program rather than the new MGB program started by the institute this year only. Please help !!!!

Anyone who was waitlisted earlier and then called for the evaluation process ? Since admissions are coming close to the deadlines what could be the chances for a waitlist getting selected for the evaluation process?
Since you have a valid CAT score there is no need to take the SPJain aptitude test. Your application has been kept on a waitlist because your work experience in just on the border line of our requirement. Incase the admissions committee does consider your application on the merits of other parameters, you will be called for the evaluations happening in the first week of March. So you need to wait until then.

If your application has been waitlisted it only means that the Admissions Committee may have decided to do so for some reason and that they will be reviewing it again at regular intervals. Pls continue to track the progress online. You will get an update latest by mid-march

I gave the exam on 29th jan and recieved a mail tht i cud not clear the cut off. I wish to apply for the test again tht is to be conducted on feb 19. I wanted to ask that can i apply for the Spjat again with a different application id?? I mean i want to update my previous application once again. I had already mailed my change request twice, before. So it will be odd to send a mail again for the changes. Also the interview panel will ask as to why did i request this changes a number of times.Although i have valid reasons, but i am afraid they might not be convinced. And i dont want to take any risks, as this will be the last attempt. So,can i register for the exam with a fresh email id and a fresh application id.a fresh email id will lower the chances of duplicacy of apllication form.Please please help!!
You are strictly not allowed to submit more than one application for a particular intake. In fact duplication of applications may lead to a Participant 's form/admission being disqualified. There is no problem, you can send in another mail requesting for a change of specialisation. We will ignore all your earlier requests.

HAHAHAHA...brother this is not your undergrad engineering college dont expect jobs raining on you and companies coming to campus and recruiting 100-200 students....MBA is about the right fit not whole sale rate interviews and taking the biggest offer.
Your online application is now locked, so you cannot edit it . Your scores willl be mapped automatically to your application at our end and you will get an update on your online status link.

I had two rounds of skype Interview. Last one was on 2nd Feb. But after the first Skype interview(25 feb),my application status is in Wait List-Post Evaluation,it has not changed after that. Can you please suggest,does this mean ,i am still in the waiting list or will i get to know about the result in some more days?
can you share more info about new MBG program... When will details be out.....??.....i have not given GMAT....so do i have to SPJAT going on these days ...or there will be a seperate spjat conducted.....
