IQ is those questions which we used to do in 8th and 9th standard.
sumthin like identify the odd one out from a set of figures, or say whats the next best sequence for a combination of shapes etc.
Most IQ questions asked are based on figures, for example refer to Q's 13, 21, 23 from this link:

My status is shown as waitlist-Initial Screening.. i have a cat score of 85. work-ex of 32 months. i know both my cat score and work-ex are pretty low. with an avg profile, i wanted to know if i was wait listed on the basis of my cat score? or workex. if it was cat score then i will take up spjat. on 29th jan.. if work-ex. then i can save my time and money and avoid travelling to delhi. kindly help.

hi,
well GK has 10 T/F questions, +1/-2 is the scheme. other sections have +3/-1 or +2/-1 scheme. So, only attempt GK questions if u r completely sure. i remember i had a -ve score in GK section :(
best is to start with Maths sections, do as much as u can in one go, then do Eng and then spend the remaining time on Maths. GK u can do in 3-4 mins only. no guesses here plz. if u knw, mark else leave it.
do first whats +3/-1 in the exam and do ur strong sections first, since the whole paper barring GK is of the same level. and all questions are low to medium difficulty and u can attempt almost all!!
for GK...read a bit on the current affairs of the world, cover politics, sports and business mainly.

Since the exam is on 29th jan,it would be better if this problem gets resolved ASAP.i believe they wont allow to change the specialization post evaluation.What shall i do now??Shall i send a mail to [email protected] as well??

Your work-ex is gud enough to be selected. Its gud tht u applied.but its always better to give Spjat,why taking a chance of risk,if u r determined to go for an MBA.
BTW wich spc. have u applied for,and in wich field is ur work-ex??

the evals (case study + essay) happen on the day of interview only.

No specific topics as such....just the same kind of Q's as asked in CAT exam.
Ok..do u have any clue as to which topics will be important , since it has to cover entire quants in just 10 questions.I mean, does it have ques related to occasional topics such as logs,calender,mensuration,clock,trigonometry,coordinate geometry etc.
Also,do they have DI questions as well??
