Your application will now be processed on the basis of the GMAt scores you have provided. If your application meets all our parameters including the GMAT scores, then you are most likely to be called for the first round of evaluation on 15th Jan'12 itself.
In the interim, you can also send us your CAT scores when the results are declared. You need to send a mail with your CAT reg. no. and result plus your GMBA application no. to [email protected]. There is no need to submit a fresh application.
If for some reason, you are unable to register for the evaluation on 15th Jan you can then take the next round which may be somewhere in Feb '12.
Thanx. Appreciate the prompt response.
Cud u please throw some light on the evaluation process. What does it comprise of? Further I wud want to know that is the evaluation in consideration here an ongoing process that starts on the 15th and continues further or is it that the interview date for the applicants in first slot is 15th Jan? If latter be the case then as u informed that I wud be evaluated in the 15th Jan slot, then in case I am not interviewed by the day shud I consider that I am dinged or the applications will be assessed in future dates too?
When can I safely assume that my application has been either accepted or rejected?
Pardon me the ignorant and amateur queries that I bring forth.
Currently the percentage of non-Indian students is very low. But we do have Indians from all over the world. Also, this year a tremendous effort is being put in to attract students from other nationalities. We believe that these efforts will bear fruit from the April 12 cohort onwards. For the BBA program such efforts have resulted in getting students from 22 countries across all continents
Hi Rutty,
Could you give an idea regarding the cultural diversity? what is the percentage of non-indian students?
The entire evaluation process for a student is completed in one day infact max. upto 4 hours. The process involves an essay & case study round followed by an interview with a Panel from SPJain. We have an elimination after this and only shortlisted candidates go for a final round of Interview with the President. Candidates selected from this round will be informed of their offer within a weeks time.
Candidates who have applied till date and meet all our admission parameters will be called for the evaluation happening on 15th Jan. The next batch of candidates will be called for our next evaluation round which may happen sometime in Feb'12. Offers are rolled out after each evaluation.
Candidates who have been waitlisted at the initial stage can wait till our last evaluation round to see if their application moves up.
Pls feel free to write back incase you have any doubts or queries, you can also send an email to [email protected]

1.The results of the SPJain aptitude test are mailed to students within a week to 10 days from the date of the test. We only inform whether or not the candidate has met our cut off mark. We donot send the test scores.
2.The number of candidates for each slot could vary.
3.The entire evaluation process should not take you more than 4 hours.
Hi rutty,
1) When can we expect our SPJAT Scores (Percentiles)?
2) Evaluation Round Consists of how many Candidates (In Each Slot ex:8:30 AM slot)?
3) How many hours will it take to complete the evaluation process (Max)?

Thanx again.
When can I expect the call if shortlisted for the evaluation? I mean how many days before the evaluation date is an applicant notified?
I have been invited to the evaluation process on the 15th. The email says that I would be evaluated on Essay/Case Study, Panel Interview and Personal Interview.
Could you elaborate on each one of these? What can I expect in the essay? what about case study? and finally, what are the interviews like?
I have applied for the consulting specialization. While SP Jain Mumbai boasts of recruiters such as Mckensey & Co etc., SP Jain Dubai/Singapore does not mention any big ones. This is a cause of anxiety for me as I would really like to know how good are my prospects in the consulting market post graduation.
We start notifying shortlisted candidates about the evaluation once the evaluation dates are put up on the website. We normally try and cover applicants who have applied till about a week before the evaluation date.
Thanx again.

You would be given your topics for essay/case study on the spot. This is followed by an interview with Panelists from SPJain. Here you can expect any sort of questions ranging from your work, career goals etc. We have an elimination after this and only shortlisted candidates for a final interview with the President. The outcome of this will be communicated within a weeks time.

Thanks for your quick response Rutty! I appreciate it!
As I see, we have had only 6 companies recruiting for consulting positions from the Dubai/Singapore campus. What was the scene like for this year's class? Did we see any big ones coming over for placements?
Hi Rutty, I want to know if work-ex of 36 months is a strict criteria for evaluation process? I have currently 28 months of work-ex in IT domain and looking forward for specialization in Information Technology Management. Thanks in advance!!!
hi, i had first submitted my application in December and within a week i had seen my status as Waitlisted. However in the first week of January, i was just checking my submitted application and realised that half of the application wasnt reflecting the details i had submitted.Thereafter i had sent the details which all were missing via mail to [email protected]. Now its been almost a week and the neither the application is reflecting the details i had sent nor the status has been updated. Please let me know what can be done in this regard.

Hi! For the Global MBA (GMBA) at SPJain, we have 2 intakes, one around April/ May and another around the month of November/ December. We have now opened admissions for our April 2012 intake. For details pls refer our web-site on http://www.spjain.org/gmba/ We evaluate a potential candidate overall, on several factors. These are: good GMAT, CAT or SP Jain aptitude test scores, good academic record, relevant work experience (min. 3 years), exhibited leadership qualities, analytical abilities, communication skills and other personality traits. For details on our admission process and criteria you could look up on our website- http://www.spjain.org/gmba/eligibility_requirements.asp You can either submit an application online or download the form and send us the hardcopy. For details on placements pls refer our site on Corporate Partners & Alumni Presence - S P Jain Center of Management, Dubai, Singapore, Sydney If you need any more details you may write to [email protected]
Hi,
I have given CAT this time for the 2012-2014 batch. Please let me know the procedure to apply and the average packages for these colleges.
For GMBA we only accept students with a minimum of 3 years work experience. Exceptions to this will be made if the candidate has a good profile otherwise, such as exceptional academics or aptitude scores etc. for which you need to send your application with all details to the Admissions Committee to be assessed

We had sent you an acknowledgement from the gmba id on receipt of the additional information you sent. The mail very clearly mentioned that the information has been taken into consideration but since the online form is locked you will not be able to view it online.
We have reviewed your application in light of the additional information but your application has still been kept on a waitlist because you donot have the required 3 years work experience we need. We will let you know incase there is any change in your application status in future.
