I wanted to know something about the placements of recently passed out cohort of 2010 , how many students are still left to be placed. Also on the site it is written as if we get less than 3.0 CGPA overall then the college wont assist in placements . Please clarify this since in all other colleges cgpa is considered only by few companies which visit the campus. And all other colleges equally assist the students with low CGPA to secure a placement. Please clarify my fears.

While going thru' the website of spjain, i read in the fee structure section that: ** On completion of the program the Dubai visa needs to be cancelled for which an additional cost of approximately AED 575 / USD 160 would be payable (will be charged at actuals at the time of visa cancellation) - this amount is not included in the amount mentioned above.
As d program of april'10 will get completed in dubai, does this mean that we won't be able to stay in dubai after d completion of d course. i.e. april'11 and have to return to our native country, even if we dont get a job ? Pls clarify on this. regards sanchit
Hi Rutty!!!! I am trying to register for the SPJAT to be held on 23-January, but the address column shows that I need to fill permanent address. I am putting up in Delhi, so is it ok to mention my correspondence address instead of permanent. I have already mentioned my permanent address in the application.
Has anyone of you taken SPJAT? Please let me know about the awareness section in the test i.e. is it a factual (static) based awareness questions or current topics? How many questions on each topic (a rough idea will also do) Please help guys!
Hi I have got a call for evaluation on 9 th jan and i have also payed the fees and scheduled the interview on 2 pm slot. however due to work contsraints i would not be making to the evaluation.I have to travel from chennai to mumbai.:oops:
Is it possible for me to attend the evaluation in next round? with the fees i have already paid ? if yes when will the next round of evaluation
As on date over 90% of our placements have been done (including those on sabbatical or who have become entrepreneurs). The process is still on and our website will give you updates on the progress.
In order to ensure that students donot take the program or placements lightly we have set a condition that only students with a CGPA of 3 and above (at the end of Term IV) are eligible for placements.

Your application can only be processed further when we have your aptitude test scores. You can opt to take the SPJAT on 23rd Jan post which your application will be reviewed and you will be notified incase you qualify for the evaluations.

Unfortunately, I forgot to fill the last column for my past work experience (only date). For the same, I received an email and I have replied on the same.
Only yesterday, I received another email from Priya, at SPJain, regarding the invitation for taking SPJAT on 23 January 2011.
Since you are on a student visa you could continue to stay on after the completion of your program for a maximum of about a months time and not beyond. If you unable to find placements by this time you would have to return to India but assistance for placements would still be given to you from here. In India, we have our corporate relations office at Mumbai, Delhi & Bangalore

Yes, its fine if you are mentioning your address of Delhi as your permanent address while registering for the test.

The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for a duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters. The aptitude test will be a paper based test. There is negative marking - different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a student's score. We do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.

You need to mail [email protected] if you are unable to take the evaluations this time and wish to postpone it to our next round.

Hi Rutty. I had appeared for both CAT 2009 and CAT 2010. Scored overall 99.4 %ile in CAT 2009. Not expecting much from 2010 score. Can I apply through my 2009 score?
Also, I have around 18 months experience as on date (22 by April 2011) Will my application be accepted with 22 months of work ex?
Try and send off your application asap if you wish to be considered for the evaluations happening on 9th Jan

the website says "Starting January 21, 2011 (2.00 pm), a student is required to once again visit our website, and book the venue for the exam. Only those students whose payments have been received will be able to do so and generate the hall ticket. A copy of this needs to be carried to the venue of the exam."
can I get to know, if delhi/new delhi will be one of the venue for 23rd jan2011 spjat exam, or cant be sure of this
Yes, we are accepting CAT 2009 scores for admissions to the April '11 intake. We would recommend that you apply with your CAt 09 scores itself. Incase your CAT'10 scores are better, you can mail that to us later.

sorry, we just closed on 2nd Jan. Your application will be screened for the next round, which would be sometime soon.
