Yes, as a CA you can apply for any of the Finance related specialisations at SPJain. When we evaluate candidates we either look for relevant experience or need them to be strongly motivated incase they are looking at a
specialisation that is not relevant to their background.
for GMAT, our cut-off is 650.

SPJAT 75
Incase, you are shortlisted based on your application, you would be called for the Evaluation where you have a Essay-Case Study round and Interviews before being selected for the GMBA.

i've just started thinking about MBA and i've heard from a few frnds that SP Jain from Dubai Singapore is a very good option..
i've not given GMAT yet, but wud like to know if i have a chance of getting into the SP Jain GMBA program looking at my profile.
Academics: 81%-Xth, 78%-XII, Btech(Electronics & comm engg)-81%
Work experience: currently 2.2 years (8 months onsite experience) - IT Company.
Extra-curricular: Nothing as such to boast about. Certificates in school and college for participation, co-ordinating and well as organising various events.
What is the min GMAT/ SPJAT score that would be expected from a profile like mine..
I am thinking of applying next year (2011 intake). I would complete 3 yrs of work exp in June. By when do we generally have to apply?
i've just entered the MBA arena so please enlighten me with other options as well that would be suitable for my profile..

An average salary is a figure that is somewhere in between the highest and lowest salary figures. So obviously people with more work experience can expect a salary higher than the average salary. Ofcourse, apart from work experience there are other factors too that determine the salary of a candidate.

I don't want to solely rely on campus placements and I would prefer to wait & look out for a job that fits my profile.

You can max. stay back for a month after the completion of your course for placements, as after this period your student visa would expire and you would have to return.
Once you get placed, the company arranges for a work visa.

For April 2011, we would accept CAT results of 2009 and 2010. So your score should be good enough to apply.

Hi Rutty,
I had seen on the SP jain Dubai website and even otherwise it has been stated that SP Jain programmes are the 1st and only programmes of Indian origin to be accredited by AMBA.
Today in HT newspaper the same claim is being made by the reknowned MDI college of Gurgaon that they are the only Indian B school to be accredited by AMBA.
Also,Please let me know the value it will add to the SP jain degree and importance of AMBA otherwise.

Some of them (including me) have got calls or 2nd round of evaluations which is to be held on 19th September based on the SPJAT conducted on 5th September. I received SMS and email on Thursday (9th September). They have not officially evinced the scores/percentiles on the website but will surely be putting on the website in couple of days time. Have u filled the application form completely?please check that. If u have filled the same, then ur SPJAT score (which u appeared on 5th September) will automatically be linked/mapped to your application form by the adcom. Please check whether u have filled the application form completely.

1. I wanted to know whether there is any difference in the batch strength between the April and Nov. intakes.
2. Do Indian companies recruit Nov intake students since their main placement season is February to April? So is it preferable for students who want to work in India to go for April Intake?
3. I also came to know that there is no big difference between the two intakes as far as placements are concerned.
4. Is there any difference in the salaries between the Nov. and April Intakes? Do companies prefer April batch students or Nov. batch students?

The results of the aptitude test will be mailed to you very soon. Students who have obtained a score that meets our requirement have already been informed and asked to register for the Evaluation and their online status has been updated to show this.

Well, the placement statistics for Nov. 2008 batch (graduating in the year Nov. 2009) is not put up on the site. Please enlighten me. Also, there is no difference in the batch strength between the two intakes?
For evaluations, can i bring photocopies of documents/marksheets which are attested by Gazetted Officer?
