[OFFICIAL] SP Jain School of Global Management (SPJSGM) | Dubai, Singapore, Sydney: MGB & Global MBA - Admissions 2024-26

Hi Smitha,
I wanted to know whether there is any difference in the placements for November intake and April intake. Do companies recruit students for both November and April intakes equally? I mean, do more companies come for April Intake or vice versa? If i give SPJAT on 5th September, then can i use this score for April 2011 intake? Please assist me in this regard.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply!!

I learned that there is a facility to accomodate spouse but if a married person is willing to stay with her spouse in the campus is it possible?? or they have stay separately in the campus??

Hi!

No, this rotates for each intake, say for Nov'10, Marketing, Logistics, HR & Consulting students commence their program first in Dubai and IT & Finance students commence in Singapore, then, for April/May'11 it will be vice versa.

Hi!

yes we can make arrangements if you wish to get your spouse along with you.
For Singapore, we can arrange for a room within the campus itself, though you will have to pay a premium for this as most of the rooms are shared by 3-4 students.
However for Dubai, we will have to look for a rented apartment which will be off-campus but pls note that renting an apartment in Dubai can be quite expensive.

Thanks for the reply!!

Hi!

The placement statistics available at the moment are for the April 09 batch, you can view it from the link below-
Corporate Partners & Alumni Presence - S P Jain Center of Management, Dubai, Singapore, Sydney

We donot offer any exchange program as part of the GMBA. We have an opportunity for students to include one term of ten weeks' study with one of our alliance partners in either Sydney, Australia at the Australian Graduate School of Management or Toronto, Canada at York University's Schulich School of Business . Students who wish to opt for this are further screened once they are selcted for the GMBA program.

Hi Smitha,

I want to know about the placement statistics last year. Also do you have any colleges for exchange programs ? If so what percentage of students usually go for it.

Thanks

Hi!

No, there is absolutely no difference at the placement front for the two intakes that we have. Since companies are already aware of our intakes they come in with their requirements accordingly. This is also evident from our placement records of the past which are availiable on our website.

Yes you test score of Sept 5th will be valid for April '11. However we will also be doing separate rounds for April '11 once the intake begins.

Hi Smitha,
Thanks a lot for the reply. How have the placements been for GLSCM (Global Logistics and Supply Chain Mgmt.) and GHRM for 2010 batch? which specialisation has attracted more companies? Which companies have recruited for GLSCM and GHRM specialisations? Also, how are the placements for Consulting Management? Which companies have come for Consulting Management?

Thanks

Hi!

Our placements for the April 2010 batch are still going on so its too early for us to give you information on their placements.

Our first batch of consulting management students will start their program in November 2010, so obviously no previous records are available at the moment but since this specialisation has been bought in consultation with the Industry we hope to get the best in this Industry on our campus for recruitment.

Hi Rutty,

Could let me know if you consider CAT/GMAT scores for Singapore/Dubai admissions? Do you consider December GMAT scores? When do admissions open? Please help me out with queries.

Hi!

For the November 2010 intake, S P Jain would accept CAT results of the years 2008 and 2009 (results declared in Jan 2009 and Feb 2010 respectively), GMAT scores for tests undertaken in the years 2009 and upto
September 10, 2010.
last date to apply for Nov 2010 is 15th Sept 2010, so last date by which we should receive all results is 15th Sept.
Alternatively, we are also doing the SPJain aptitude test. Our next test is on 5th Sept, you can enrol for this from our website.

Hey,

Essays wud be easier when compared with Case study and interview rounds.

Sample essay can be: what according to you is the definition of success?

Case Study wud be specific to your stream you have applied for. For Marketing sream, your case study you get may be Starbucks marketing strategy case study ! So prepare accordingly. It will be a long 4-5 pages case study and you may need to answer some questions based on the case study. Use your common sense most importantly.

Last year i dint have any GD. I guess it may be the same pattern this year too. Anyways i wud advice you to confirm the same from Rutty.

Nexxt Interview: If anything can affect your admit or reject, this will. It can make or break your plans of joinig SP Jain. So prepare more and more for the interview. Plan your reposnses, delivery, accent everything what all you can. It can go on till anywhr between 15 minutes to 45 minutes. Mine was for 35 minutes.

Pvt message me if you require more info. I may be able to help you on chat.

Hi!

If you have a GMAT score of 650 or above, taken in 2009 or 2010,then that meets our aptitude test requirement in which case you are not required to take the spjain test.
