Your work ex of 2 y 8 m should be fine for the April 2010 intake. We do not defer applications to the next intake - if not shortlisted you will have to reapply for the next intake
Thanks Shweta
Hi,
I am in the process of applying to the GMBA program for the April 2010 intake. However, by April 1st 2010, I will have only 2 years and 8 months of experience. Is it better to for the Dec 2010 intake instead of the April 2010 intake?
For the Dec 2010 intake, will GMAT scores of July 2008 and CAT scores of Dec 2009 be accepted?
Also, if I do apply for the April 2010 intake, is there a possibility that the admissions team may defer my application to the Dec 2010 intake? I could not find any details regarding this in the FAQ section.
We needa min of 2 years work ex hence I cannot comment on your chances - you may try for the Nov 2010 intake
THanks SHweta
Hi everyone,
I am an economics student and have first class in academics through out. I am currently working with the telecom sector as a bid manager and will be completing 2 years of work ex in june. Hi, My name is Arpitha, working as a senior engineer at MindTree Ltd., in Bangalore, with 2 years 3 months work exp. I have attended the GMAT exam in 2009 with a score of 640. I had applied for SP Jain Global MBA Program for April 2010 intake, and have got selected for the 2nd round. With respect to this I have a few queries: 1. What would be the total cost for the entire program including fees, boarding, stationary expenses (laptops cost included), miscellaneous expenditures etc. Fees are USD 35290 (incl tuition fees, accom, books, visa costs and medical insurance) + about Rs 2 lakhs more for food, airfare and laptop 2. What would be the actual duration of the entire course? 1 year 3. When will the placements begin? around Jan/Feb 2011 4. What will be the average salary in case the offer is to work in India/abroad? Last batch avg was about Rs 13 lakhs 5. The selection criteria for admissions. We look at your over all profile and your personality, skills, domain knowledge etc Since, I have been called for the interview process on 31st January 2010. I would like to know if coming to Mumbai is mandatory or can I attend the interview through telephone. Please brief me on the entire interview process, so I can prepare for this. Yes you will need to come to Mumbai - the details of the entire evaluation schedule are mentioned in the call letter Awaiting for a quick response, Regards, Arpitha
I had submitted my application form on the 1st January. As I have been reading the posts, I have seen people who submitted their forms on 11th Jan have got interview calls. I understand that SPJCM follows a rolling admissions process, does this mean I have not been shortlisted??

I ve also got a 660 on the GMAT. Decent extracurriculars as well!!
I have appeared for the test on 16th jan & was wondering when the results would be out...could you help me with tht please..
Also i have applied with just a month short of 2 years wrkex but have done good work with some achievements & a good branding profile with Reliance.. would just 1 month short of 2 yrs be a concern? p.s its not a current job...i have taken some time off for mba prep
Can you please let me know the process which SPJ follows in case the candidate is in Waitlist.
1. Is it also on roll-on basis ???Like when 1st round of intrw and evaluations are over the waitlist candidates are given the chance or priority over the next round of applicants.
2.Does SPJ maintaines any list in case of waitlist??If yes, then what are the chances of converting into a call/offer...??
As of now you are waitlisted - it maybe because you have less than 2 years work ex. This waitlist is reviewed from time to time as and when need be and studnets found suitable are moved to the evaluation stage. Pls wait till end of Feb 2010 to know your final status
THanks Shweta

The results for the test would be declared by early next week
I cannot comment on whether having 1 yr 11 mths would be a detterent in your being shortlsited for the evaluations. It would depend on the Admissions Committee and how they view your overall profile.
Thanks Shweta

I have an evaluation call for 31st jan. A few days back I had mailed gmba to change my specialisation from IT to SMM. But on doing some research I found out that IT Management suits my profile more hence I mailed once again to change my specialization from SMM back to IT.
Can this have an adverse effect on my chances of getting an admit ? I am a bit worried regarding this!
Is it necessary to have the domain knowledge for the applied stream?
Like... my background is IT but I am interested in Finance. Is it necessary that I need to have enough knowledge to compete with those who are already working in the relevant field?
No I didnt face any problms of that sort...........but try to call u those Adcom guys nd find out........27th is last date so still time r thr!!.......nd booking of slot is same for all people and it is 9 A.M.
