Here is my profile. (FOR April -2010 intake)

10th - 84.6 %
12th - 85.1 %
Btech (IIT Madras)(Chemical Engg) - 6.32/10

CAT 2008- 89.9%
Work Exp - IT as software developer (3 years 5 months as of now)
Extracurricular activites-
---IIT madras cricket team player
---Played Athletics and volleyball events held at IITM

I dont want to take the test conducted by SPJAIN because I already have 85% min (CAT 200) OR Shall I take the SPJAIN exam again and score high in that exam and improve the percentile cos there will be lot of IT guys out there in the line ???

Shall I start filling up the application form with this kind of profile. Am I assured of getting a call. I didn't take IELTS as of now!!

Hi Shwetha,

I have a GMAT score of 630. I have been called for Evaluation and I have scheduled my evaluation on 20 Dec 09. In the website I saw the GMAT score of 650 as cutoff. Do I need to take SPJAT ? And can I add the new SPJAT score also to my application later.

Your profile seems fine to apply and your CAT score is fine - you need not take the aptitude test.

You may go ahead and apply - however I cannot comment on your chances as that would be the decision of the Admissions Committee

Hi,

If you have been shortlisted for evaluations then you need not take the SPJAT as the Admissions Committee only shortlists candiadtes who meet all our criteria (including the score criteria). They may have accepted your score of 630 inspite of the cut off being 650 as you have been outstanding in other areas according to them

Hi Shweta,

I took the SP Jain aptitude test on Dec 5, 2009 and have received a mail on Dec 9, 2009 confirming that I qualify in the aptitude test and I should submit my application.

My Query is, since, I do not have the exact score, shall I write "result awaited" in the column asking the score of the qualifying exam and submit the application or should I wait for the exact score and then submit the application?

If I submit the application without the score, will I be able to edit the column upon receiving the score from the college?

Kindly clarify my doubts.

You can defer your admission only to the next intake (Nov 2010) and not beyond that

Hi,
S P Jains high number of placements in Dubai has to be seen in a context where Dubai has recently defaulted on some Islamic Bonds (or sukuks). Though S P Jain is the top ranked B-School in the UAE, the fact that so many graduates have got jobs in Dubai is an indicator that the real economy is in good shape.

Hi,

yes, you can submit your application without a score - you may not be filling some mandatory fields and hence you may not be able to submit your form

We have tie ups with banks to provide educational loans but without collateral only an amount of upto rs 7 lakhs can be given
