I was interviewed on the 15th of Dec and have not received any updates since then. Could you let me know if you have already started sending out e-mails to the final shortlisted candidates for the April 2009 intake.

Hi kalyan,

SP Jain Dubai Singapore will accept CAT 2008/2007 scores or GMAT scores (to be taken b4 31 Dec 200 for the April-May 2009 intake. It does not take XAT scores. You may take the SPJAT which would be conducted in mid Jan 2009. Plz check their official website for exam details.

There is no specific number of intakes. It may vary depending on the quality of the students applying. Since SP Jain is going for AMBA certification work ex will definitely hold a lot of value. Besides you need to have good acads and extra curricular activites.

I would suggest you visit the official website to find out the details of placements, batch profile, specialisations offered, etc.

My application is in the "wait list" for the reason that my cat score seems to be not updated. As the cat scores will not be out till Jan 9th,what should I do?I do not want to update last year's CAT score because I expect this year's score to be better.Do the admissions commitee take a look at the wait list people every time they send out PI calls?

Hi,

Well we do not accpet XAT scores. Since you did not take CAT you can either take GMAT or take SPJAT which is to be held on 11th Jan 09.

The cut off for SPJAT is 75%ile and GMAT 650+. The batch strength would be around 200-250.

We do give prefernce to students with work ex and expect them to have atleast 2 yrs work ex.

Hi,

9th Jan 09 is not too far and it will not be very late. We are conducting our last SPJAT on the 11th of Jan 09. There is no fixed time frame as to when the Admissions Committee reviews the waitlist.

If you CAT 07 score is 75%ile and above I suggest you take a chance and update us with the same immediately as we anyways consider the best score

Hi,

When we fill the applicaiton form we get to choose two specialization. Please throw some light on the significance of having the option to opt two specialization. is it that the profile will be evaluated for both the specialization??
also there is a section where we are supposed to fill any additional relevant professional cources (eg Microsoft/Cisco/CCNA/NCFM/BSE) but there we can enter details of only one cource. What should one do in case he wants to enter more than one course??
Also is sectional percentile score also considered or do you see only the overall percentile??

You will be evaluated for your 1st preference. However if not found suitable for the 1st pref only then will we consider you for the 2nd pref. of spez

If you have more than 1 professional certification then pls add it in the additional information column

We do have sectional cut offs - we look at the overall percentile

You might be informed at the time of evaluations itself that you would need to be interviewed for your 2nd pref on that day itself

You would not necessarily have to attend evaluations a 2nd time

3rd point - you mean the sectional cut offs? Well when looking at a students score we do not look at the scores section wise- we will only look at the overall percentile

Hi navneet0909, i received a mail from the SP Jain for Jan Evaluations.
The next round of evaluations are slated for Jan 17-18th in Mumbai. They ve also given me an option to attend the interview thru Video Conference from Bengaluru!! That s slated for 10th of Jan. Can choose either of them.

I have not received any call letter as of now, and i learnt from the authorities that they are done sending out the call letters for the above mentioned evaluations.

I reckon, because of my low score in SPJAT, i was not able to convert the evaluation despite performing good in the case syudy, PI and Dean`s Interview also.

If i give the SPJAT to be conducted on 11 Jan to improve my score , the can i expect a chance of getting a call for April intake on the basis of an improved score?
I mean can giving SPJAT again, and scoring good, give me a chance to have my application re-considered for this intake?

Hi,

During the evaluations the score is NOT the only deciding factor. Whilst evaluating a candidate we look at various other criteria like communication, smartness, personality, domain knowledge etc. The entire profile is looked at holistically.

I doubt very much that by retaking the test you would be given a chance to be re-evaluated.

If your score was not upto the mark we would not have shortlisted you for the evals
