I had taken SPJAT on 7 DEC but i am not able to manage good score got 54 percentile only, due to -ve marks in one section.

Brief about myself:
Have an experience of 29 months(2 years 5 months) with an leading IT company.
Done my BE(E&TC;) from pune university with distinction.
12th : 90% (PCM 95%)
10th : 87% (Board Ranker : Rank 24)
7th Scholarship holder (District Rank 18 )

I just wanted to ask you what are the realistic chances of getting a call for the evaluation from SPJ.

If you did not receive a call for this round of evaluations then pls wit for a while as we will have further rounds of evaluations

Hi Rutty,

I applied via hardcopy to SPJCM as there were a few glitches in the online system then. I applied on 3rd December. On 11th December, I got a mail that had my application number on it.

How long does it normally take from getting the appln number to getting the evaluation call?

A frd of mine who applied via online system on the 3rd got a evaluation call on the 12th. Im still waiting for the evaluation call (hoping to get it) !!

i applied via online system in Dec. the website says:
You will receive an acknowledgement of your application along with an application number immediately by email. Please use this number for future correspondence with us.
however, i hvn't received any acknowledgement mail . i did receive a submission confirmation sms and on login in the online system i can view my app# and submitted details.
is this ok??

Hi Shweta,

I applied to SPJCM-Apr 2099 intake. On 17th Nov, I got an email that had my application number on it (# 28319-IT).

I have secured 81.8% in SPJAT and I have emailed the result to [email protected].
On checking the status on site it still shows below message,
Thank you for the interest shown in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapore's GMBA (April 2009 intake) program.
Your status will be updated shortly. '
Could you please let me know status of my application (# 28319-IT)?

I have applied for Service Marketing as First Option and IT Management as Second option on the basis of my CAT 2007 score (Application Number: 28971- SMM).

Could you please advise me as to what are my chances? Below is a brief description of my profile

CAT 07 = 84%ile
B.Tech = 81.6 %
12th = 76.46% (School Rank 3rd)
10th = 86.86% (School Rank 3rd)

Work Exp = 30 Months (2.6 years till date)

Hi Shweta,

The placement figures are up on the website for the JAN 2008 batch.
By looking at the data it seems that the INR amount is just the
USD value * exchange rate and includes both india and foreign placements.

Please let us know the India and Foreign placement figures separately as we cannot make out much from this data and it leaves us all the more curious.

Hi,

We have had students in the past who have been placed in Consultancy roles , hence I suggest that students not go by hearsay and only follow the official placement data put up on the website.

The placement cells for both the institutions are different and hence the same companies would not necessarily visit them. There will be different companies visiting both the colleges while some might also be common

I have a query regarding the placements for ITM:
What's the scope for ppl aspiring to step into strategic tech consulting role?
What i can gather from placements stats and by talking to couple of alums is that thr is not much scope for ppl in strategic tech consulting...it's mostly it services consulting (which again takes one to implementation side of things) that one can expect...in fact general view is that consulting job options in ITM in spjcm are not much inspiring
how far is this correct? given the fact that we have ADL, Mac, BCG coming into s p jain mumbai why aren't they visiting spjcm inspite of same brand equity??
Appreciate if you can bring out the true picture...

We havent yet fixed the date for the next aptitude test. PLs check our website regualry for updates on the same.

You may send in your application right away without a score and once you take the SPJAT we will update your score on our records and fwd it to the Admissions Committee for screening

Hi,

The rest of your profile seesm fine but your score might hold you from being shortlisted. You may retake the SPJAT when we do conduct it next or you may take the GMAT

Hi,

You would not be eligible to apply for the April 09 intake as you need to be a complete graduate at the time of application. you apply for the Dec 09 intake

I din not get a great score in SPJAT. But I have hopes on my CAT score. I wish to know whether its mandatory to email the SPJAT result back to authority concerned inspite the score being low ?
