Hi Mam,

Below is the status of my application.

Thank you for the interest shown in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapores GMBA (December 2008 intake) program. We are in receipt of your application and on screening the same we find you falling short on some of our admission criteria due to which we have kept you on our waiting list. Periodically (there is no specific time frame for doing so - it is done as and when the need for doing so arises) this list is reviewed and students moved to the evaluation process. Please check this website at intervals to ascertain if there has been any change in your admission status.

Earlier also for JUne'08 batch i applied and i got call but was unable to qualify and this time i am on waitlist. Can you please advise on same as why this could be.

my cat-2007 score is 84.34% and have work ex of 7 months till nov2008 and Have a B.E(Computer science)

1.)Do I stand a chance of getting a call from SPJAIN for the dec-2008 intake?
2.)Are students with less than 1 year's experience included for the evaluation process?
3.)What is the likely cut off for students applying thru CAT score?

Hi,

I am Prasanna Srinivasan, an applicant to the May 2008 class. I attended the evaluations conducted at Mumbai on 10-March-2008. I had cleared the initial written screenings, took part in the Group Discussion, went through the personal interview and even met with the Dean to have my final Interview.

Consequent to that evaluation, I was put on "Active Waitinglist" and subsequently informed that I did not make it.

I have now reapplied to the December 2008 intake and have been asked to re-appear for the Evaluations at Mumbai.

At this stage, I would really like to get some kind of a Feedback about the Evaluation session I attended in March. However, when I contacted S.P.Jain, I was told that Feedbacks are not given on an Individual basis.
I perfectly understand the scenario that exists in the admissions office, what with the huge number of applications.

While I am eager to prove myself at the evaluations again, it would be of great help to actually know what was the deciding factor due to which I did not make it the first time. I feel that, I may be repeating the same mistakes (if there were any) if I were to go through the process again without any feedback.

Kindly help me out in this issue.

I have applied for S P Jain, Dubai-Singapores GMBA (December 2008 intake) program last month from US. I am done with my Aptitute, essay and case-study. I was asked to be ready for Interview Call on 28/29th Sept. Till date, I have not received any call from SpJain regarding interview. I dropped couple of emails and left voice message for Yakuta, but have no updates on my application status.
I will be grateful if you can assist me for the same !!

You should have actually got a call letter for the evals that were held on the 27-28 of Sept. Pls email Ms. Sejal Shah at [email protected] about this asking her to pls resend you a call letter for the last round of evals to be held on 11-12 Oct.

Dear Shweta,

My Appliation no. is 26978-IT. I have applied for GMBA Dec 08 intake on 8th of Septenber. My current application status shows as "Thank you for the interest shown in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapore's GMBA (December 2008 intake) program. You have been short listed for evaluations. Once an evaluation date is firmed up by us, you would be getting a call for evaluation e-mail giving full details of when your evaluation has been scheduled for."

But as I see through this thread, tentative date for the last evaluation round is 7th - 8th of Oct. So, I am not sure, whether I wiil get this chance for next round evaluation process or not.

Please let me know ASAP.

Hi,

As of now we haven't yet decided as to which spec will start frolm which campus for the May 09 intake. Details will be put up shortly around Nov end on our website.
Where you complete your prog has no impact on where you would get placed. We have video conferencing facilities to facilitate interviews for students, so if a company is visiting our Dubai campus and they wish to interview you even tho you may have completed your prog in S'pore then we would set up your interview via video conferencing

Hi,

Every intake our criteria keeps changing hence if you are shortlisted in one intake does not necessarily imply that you would be shortlisted in the next intake as well.

It may also be the case that the Admissions Committee feels that not much has changed in your profile since June 08 except for a few months of additional work ex. Hence you may have been waitlisted.

Hi,

1) I cannot comment on your chances as that would be the decision of the Admissions Committee.
2) we do shortlist students with less than 1 year work ex but only if they are brilliant.
3)The cut off for CAT is 80 percentile

I have one Query, If you can please Clarify, If if postpone/defer my admit for may intake, what will I have to do(the procedure), and also will the security amount $2500 that I have to pay by 11th of OCT will get deducted from the total amount $32000aproxx that I will pay when I join the may Batch,also where can't I pay this $2500 at your mumbai center?

for the time being it looks like that..either we ll be put on waiting list and than get rejected or ll get rejected straight away and there is no one in SP JAIN today to inform us as to whats going on.

I have an admit for Dec intake PMM. I have received the offer via email on Oct 1st 2008. I would like to know if I can use an option to defer the admission to the may intake. If be so, what is the procedure? I have heard that it is possible pending the transfer of usd 2500.

Kindly brief me on this note as I would like to defer the admit to the next intake.

Hi,

I had applied for GMBA course for Dec 08 intake while being based out of USA. I was asked to complete the Essays /case study (on Sept 20th) and also pay the required fees . I was informed that the interview would be scheduled as soon as the adcom can facilitate this. Can you please look into this and let us know when will the interview be scheduled.

My appln no : 25931 WM

I had my evaluations on 28-09-08 in the 2:00 pm slot.

I went through all the rounds including the Dean interview. The dean said that the results would be out in 4-5 days.

Can you please let me know whether the results are out for that evaluation round and if no then by what date they would be available.
