This is a forum to address queries specifically for SP Jain Dubai- Singapore admissions.

Hence I do not think I would be the right person to answer your queries.

As far as SPJCM Dubai-Singapore is concerned - we accept both CAT as well as GMAT scores cutoffs being 80%ile for CAT and 650 for GMAT

first of all thanks for all the efforts you are putting in to solve our queries.

I want to do MBA but not sure which way to go: CAT or GMAT?

If i prepare for CAT will i be also be able to get good score in GMAT, because i want to do MBA it doesnt matter from which part of world.

college matters but not the country.

Please answer me, i am not able to take a decision on this as i am not clear about the difference in CAT and GMAT.

You would know your status within 3-4 weeks of submission of your application - inspite of whatever time it takes Admissions committee to evaluate applications

Hi,

No, it is not possible to reapply for the Dec 08 intake and you would not be re-evaluated for the Dec 08 intake.

You may apply afresh for the May 09 intake

Yes, you would receive an acknowledgment from our Accounts dept.

I have been asked to make a wire transfer of $75 to the SP Jain Eduction FZ LLC directly to the Dubai account. It is stated that the evaluation would proceed after this. Does that mean i have been selected for the next round. My status in website still mentions that "the status will be updated shortly".

If i need to transfer the money, i would need one more information. The account number of the intermediate bank CITIBANK New York. This was not mentioned in the mail.
The mail specifies the Dubai account details, and only mentions the Citibank New York swift code and ABA routing number.

While booking my slot for the evaluation process I have filled in my Full name details as Name MiddleName Surname instead of Surname, First Name, Middle Name. Will this cause any problem or is there a way I can rectify this?

Well 1 problem that i had with the admission process this year was that they do not accept freshers who have just appeared for their exams and are awaiting results. i personally made a trip down 2 SP Dubai 2 speak with somebody there because i was totally for the course and SP....but they refused admission and told me to try for the December intake instead. That's when i backed out of the admission process, coz it would make me wait for 6 months. I just think that is a deterrent in a way. Dont know if other institutions do it but don't you think its a lot more difficult for the student to decide whether to wait for 6 months and apply and still be hanging in the balance, or whether to apply at other institutions at that point of time?

Hi,

I have a query on academic background of the candidate.
I had one bad year in my undergrad where I slipped below first class and got a GPA of 2.9/4.0.
Thereafter I improved and since then got 3.45/4.0, 3.75/4.0, 3.75/4.0 in the next 3 years
Getting distinction and top 5 in my batch in the final year.
Average GPA of (3.44/4.0) overall 4 years.

Will SP Jain do a holistic evaluation of the undergrad acad profile or just one bad year would prove to be the downfall?
Does SP Jain looks into the marking schemes eployed by different Universities. For eg in Pune/Mumbai University a 60% is tough to obtain in Engg courses where as in other universities 60% is low.?

Pls chk your email and even in the junk/spam for the email

Yes, we will look at your profile holistically and if you are found excellent or outstanding in other areas then the Admissions Committee might overlook this slip in your academics.

Hi Shweta,

Yesterday I got an email from [email protected] which states the subject line as Welcome Kit but when i open the email, i see only lots of characters, and it says This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
Content-Type: application/msword;
name="welcomekit.doc"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Disposition: attachment;
filename="welcomekit.doc"
followed by lots of characters. Can n't see anything else.

Any idea ?
