hi swetha, I had a query about the degree awarded at sp jain dubai/singapore. i am interested in doing a Phd in the future and as per my knowledge a master s degree is a prerequisite for doin a phd. can i do a phd with the degree i get from sp jain d/s? appreciate the response. prateet
Hi all, i have a small query: i went through the profile of current batch of GMBA and found that the people have joined(mostly) the specialization in which they have previous work EX. but i want to switch from IT to finance(banking sector ) or supply chain management. will it(choosing different specialization) hamper my chance during placement as i will be competing against the people with previous experience in same field?
Hi, I have secured admission for Dec '08 intake. I would like to know if SPJCM has any tie-ups with any banks for taking loans other than the ones mentioned in the FAQ section of the SPJCM website?
If there is any addition to the list of the banks, then please let me know
I have a similar question(posted in previous courses). I checked on the FAQs section about what we will be getting - 2 certificates. But want to know if these certificates are recognised by any body, indian, or international, as equivalant to masters degree? This can be improtant in Phd sort of courses, as well as some visa like for filling in HSMP for UK, or H1B for US - they ask degree, so if we put master degree in management, will it be accepted there?
At the end of the program graduating students will get a certificate from S P Jain - Dubai/Singapore stating Global Masters in Business Administration (with the specialization mentioned) and another joint certificate from SPJIMR, Mumbai and S P Jain - Dubai/Singapore reading Post Graduate Program in Management (with the specialization mentioned - we will not mention the super-specialization).
We do not have accreditation from any Indian governing body like the AICTE etc for the simple reason that we do not fall under their jurisdiction as only institutes on Indian shores would come under their purview and we are located overseas. I want to have a clear picture of the final certificates we will be getting after passing out from this course. I have got an offer for Dec 08 in IT.
Will the course finishing certificate be - a degree/ or diploma/ or a certification. Is this certificate going to be equivalant to masters degree in general - I mean, please don't think that I am thnking too negativly or I am too rigid to get some written rules, but it would be better if you can throw some light on all aspects of our course completion certifications ( including all accrediations and recognitions the institute has, and based on which, we can consider these certificates as equivalant to masters degree).

Its been more than a month now since I submitted my application for the GMBA. I havent received any call as of now and neither has my status been updated on the website. It would be very kind of You if you can look into the matter and find out for me where the problem lies. I dont wanna lose my chance of being interviewd for SPJAIN.

hi Rutty Can we expect our results to be given out on saturday and sunday??? Have all the results(offer) been mailed or are some of them in the pipeline???I had taken my evaluations on 1st sept and managed to meet the president as well.....really nervous please help
We do not offer a masters degree it is a postgraduate programme in management ( PGP).
Most institutes in India would require a Masters DEGREE as a prerequisite for pursuing a PhD. Some institutes abroad may accept the GMBA as a qualification to get onto their PhD prog.

We do have studnets who have opted for spec that are different from their current career field and they have been well placed.

1) Can you please let us know when we can expect the next round of Evaluations?
2) Since the admissions are on Rolling basis, what are the chances of getting a offer in the next round... I am afraid that most of the seats are filled by now.

I am planning to apply for GMBA - IT specialization / 2nd preference of HRM. I have taken my GMAT (660).
Acads: Good score in 10th 12th (2nd rank in school) 9.22/10 B.E. EEE (5 years sandwich course) (How do i specify my individual years score in the application? The forms have only 4 years entry pattern)
Work ex: 4+ yrs, currently in USA (past 1.5 years). The admissions require a personal appearance in any one of the centers, but i will not be able to make it to India or other centers. I will be in India for vacation during the period from Dec 1st to Dec 20th. I will not be able to make it to the next round also (as will not be able to plan another vacation in such a short period and i cannot avoid this vacation). Are there any alternatives?
