Hello Shweta ,

I have submitted the application since i had recieved a mail from the help desk saying there is a character limit for the Extra curricular section .

I removed much of the matter i had planned to paste and since there is a character limit i had to cut it very short.

Please let me know if there is any other way i can paste the complete matter i wish to .

Thanks a ton.

Flintoff

Hi,

The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a students IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for a duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters.
The aptitude test for the December 08 intake will be a paper based test.
there is negative marking different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a students score.we do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.

Thanks
Shweta

Hi Rutty,
Currently you are offering admissions for Dec 08-09 course. Also I heard that there would be another course starting in May 09. If I apply for the Dec 08-09 and do not get shortlisted can I reapply for the May 09 batch?

Hi Guys...I just received this mail and i want to apply only for the Aptitude Test..."We would like to inform you that the Evaluationprocess and the Aptitude Test is scheduled for 17th August, 2008. Theevaluation process comprises of Essay/Case study/Interview and a GroupDiscussion."Can someone help me out with this one.I just wanna know the structure of the aptitude test and where can i get some some prep material for it....n how long will it take for the test results to be out ????Thanks

Hi,

Yes, we do lay emphasis on academics. However the Admissions Committee looks at the candidate's profile holistically. hence if a student is outstanding in other areas then they might be willing to overlook the low academics.

I would suggest that you submit your application with a high CAT/GMAT/SPJAT score to make your profile stronger.

I cannot comment on your chances as that is the decision of the Admissions Committee

Thanks
Shweta

Hi,

Your academics are lower than our requirements but as mentioned in my previous posts that the Admissions Committee might be willing to overlook the lack of academics if the candidate is outstanding in other areas.

I cannot comment on your chances as that would be the decision of the Admissions Committee.

This SPJAT is particulary for those interested in the Dec 08 intake. However you may take the test if you so wish.

Thanks
Shweta

Hello Shweta,

I got a mial from sejal shah saying that I am eligible for second round of evaluation. But, my status is not updated in the website. So should I consider this as a final call for evaluation or should i wait till it is updated in website too?
The mail also had a link for scheduling the evaluation date and time. Can I book the time slot before sending the draft for evaluation fee? Will I be getting any confirmation for the recipt of draft and booked time slot?

Please clarify.

Hi,

I am confused. We only have the aptitude test on the 17th of August. the Evaluations are scheduled on 30/31 Aug.

I do not understand as to how you could have received such an email mentioning that the SPJAT and Evaluations are both on the 17th of Aug.

Pls can u let me know from whom and when did you receive this email so that I can look into the matter asap.

the details regarding the aptitude test are all put up on our website. Pls read the FAQs section regarding the structure of the test.

The test results are declared within a week to 10 days

Thanks
Shweta
