This was something I posted a year ago (11th Jan 2019) and I can see that this post is relevant even today. Many of those who feel they're scoring less in QA than they ought to, please know that you are not alone and I myself feel that way (I feel like I'm getting 6-7 marks less than I was expecting in QA-DI in SNAP 2019).

My 2 cents on the SNAP scoring fiasco. (Writing this post as a test-taker and not as a CAT mentor)
All those who are strongly convinced that they got lower scores than they were supposed to get (after checking the official key, i.e.), need to know that something very similar happened last year too. Only, last year I was among those affected (though this year I got exactly what I ought to).
There was a lot of hue and cry and people signed petitions then too. I wouldn't say that it didn't have any impact whatsoever on the Symbiosis Test Secretariat, but it definitely didn't have the desired effect. They budged slightly and did something that they might've never done before. They sent out mails clarifying that there were no discrepancies and also shared the number of attempts (section-wise) with the test-takers.
While something is better than nothing, the fact remained that they shared neither the question paper nor the candidate responses nor the official key last year (this is the first year that they've shared the question paper as well as the official key, though they're yet to share the candidate responses).
Last year, I attempted 21 questions in VARC and got all 21 correct (21 marks) whereas in QA, I attempted 36, out of which exactly 2 were wrong (meaning I should've got 33.5 marks) but ended up getting 28. something when the results were declared. That's a straight reduction of 5 marks as you can see. Since I didn't attempt anything in LR or in GK, I had no way of knowing if I'd have lost some marks there too (many people complained of lesser-than-expected marks in LR too last year). There was clearly something very wrong with the evaluation mechanism last year and if hundreds of aspirants are complaining about the same again this year, it's likely that something might not be alright at the back-end this year too.
I can't personally point my fingers at SNAP this year as I got 31/33 right in QA and 18/19 right in VARC and got the exact same marks as expected.
However, claiming that everything was alright with SNAP till last year is fallacious. I know for a fact that something was wrong last year.
I originally posted this on the SIBM Pune aspirants official FB group, but since the admins are clueless and have no way to explain the possible discrepancy in the scores of so many aspirants, they deleted this post for exposing the fact that aspirants definitely got faulty scores last year.
So much for transparency, my foot! Such a bunch of hypocrites.

is the shortlisting criteria entirely based upon the snap score or on the prolfile too?
