This is the official query thread for Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies and Research. SVIMS has been founded by well known educationalists and is located at Wadala, Mumbai.
SVIMS offers MMS and MMM/MMF Programs:
MMS Program: A full time two year MMS program would be offered by SVIMS.
MMM/MMF Program: A three-year, part-time Post-Graduate programs affiliated to Mumbai University.
Scholarships will be awarded to the meritorious students.

SVIMS offers three specialisations this year to our batch of 2010-2012 MMS students :- Marketing, Finance and Human Resources. If the second batch which will join us in the next few weeks, chose to also have Systems or Operations as the specialisation, then surey we will offer that too. All the programs are designed by Mumbai University guidelines but the pedagogy we offer looks at leveraging the good faculty that we have to bring in more industry-related knowledge and perspectives, besides the mandatory, meeting the basic expectations of syllabus completion.
We believe a strong industry linkage is our key differentiator and an improtant SVIMS advantage, besides central Mumbai location and very good infrastructure.

SVIMS encourages students who have scored fairly high in the CET exams and qualify all other requirements for admission, to apply since it believes that its faculty members and infrastructure complements the needs of the students that will help them get closer to their career goals through the SVIMS MMS Program.
Scores above 90 percentile should typically fall under this category and subject to number of students applying, the top few students will get some remission in academic tuition for their first year. Students who do well during the program also may qualify to attract additional scholarships in the next year.

I am sorry I meant, students having 98 percentile and above, may have some chances to get some scholarships, although the figure is only indicative and will depend upon the percentile of the students who have applied and the number of students who may qualify to receive some tuition fee remission. The amounts and students who qualify can only be informed after the admission is over. These are only indicative figures and SVIMS only undertakes to give some of its top CET applicants some scholarships, if they apply for admission to the MMS 2011-2013 program. In the MMS Batch 2010-2012, last year, the student who scored 134 last year got scholarship for the first year in the form of part tuition fee remission. This year, depending upon the scores of students applying, and the merit of the students applying, scholarships wold be decided.
