Tuesday production be x
rejection =x/10
thursday production be y
rejection=y/4
(x+y)/ 5 =x/10 +y/4
x/10=y/20
y/x =2:1

In an election voters cast their votes either for X or Y. Y wins by 20 votes. Had X polled 5% more votes than what he did originally, that would have been a tie. In all how many votes are cast???
@jashholmes said:In a city 60 % of the population owns a car, 75% owns a rickshaw, 80% owns a scooter, and 95% owns a bicycle, what percent at least owns all four of them???
Who dont = 40 + 25 + 20 + 5 = 90.
So, 10% at least..

Y-X=20
Y=1.05X
.05X=20
x=400
Y=420

@jashholmes said:Accord is slowing down reduces to 7/10th of its original speed in 15 seconds. After another 10 seconds it is travelling at 45 meter per second. Find its original speed before it started slowing down??? (Assume it slows down uniformly)
Rate of slowing down = 3x/10 in 15 seconds = 3x/150 = x/50 m/sec.
So, in 25 seconds, speed will be x - x/2 = 45
So, x = 90 m/sec.

Let productions be A and B.
=> (A+B)/5 = A/10 + B/4
=> A : B = 1 : 2.

a + 2b + 3c + 4d = 310 ---------(1)
a + b + c + d = 100 --------(2)*3
(1) - (2) put a = b = 0
we will get d = 10
