To calculate max value of a variable in such questions , where there are cyclic expressions ..
If e has to be max , no matter what value it takes .. a,b,c,d are to be same , since there is no difference between them.

u will have two values one of them can be ignored.

No. Min(x^2 + 2y^2 + z^2 + 2yz) = Min(x^2 + y^2 + (y+z)^2) subject to x+y+(y+z)=-6. Now x=y=y+z ; x=-2,y=-2,z=0. Substitute and u wud get 12 !!

If on an item a company gives 25% discount, they earn 25% profit. If they now give 10% discount then what is the profit percentage.
